I'll take that temperature swing over the -50F to 100F that's been known to happen around here... _________________ I let my mind wander once, but it never came back...

Over here in Az is not so much the swing, but the highest temperatures we can go through, and the length of the season. 103 degrees on Halloween is nothing short of divine punishment, IMHO. _________________ Hey, Sony... IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

I'd be happy too trade with you, I don't like it when it gets below 75. Give me warm sunny days any time... _________________ Due Too Budget Cuts The Light At The End Of The Tunnel Has Been Turned Off.

Today is cold but that's from the cold front brought in by yesterdays storm, it won't last.
Yesterday IronTiger and I spent most of the day home listening to internet radio and playing card games so we never knew there was a bunch of storms hitting Tennessee.
Early evening we got in the car to go to the park and later go shopping and half way up the peninsula I turned up the radio to find they were talking nonstop about tornado warnings and watches.
We continued to the park, while everyone else was making a mass exodus, we were entering the park. We watched the storm roll in across the lake and as the worst of it hit we were at the highest part of the park over looking the lake. Since the rain was so heavy it was hiding potential tornado's, so we decided to head a bit in land. As soon as the worst passed over we went back out the the waters edge.
Our town lost power. It was really interesting driving back into town where part of it still had no power, it was a totally dark abyss.
Of course I took pictures of the storm! Check em out: (click on the picture to be taken to the folder)

Finally a warm day (too warm in my opinion). 72 yesterday. The past days were pretty cloudy, so it was a bit of a sudden change. |

We have two feet of snow on the ground.
We don't have spring.
We call it 'Still Winter'.

There's snow on the ground outside. That's almost unheard of in April in downstate Illinois, but it's happened. _________________ mwalimu

Cold here today with a hard freeze very likely tonight with temps dropping to the mid twenties. Rest of the week looks nice with highs in the 60's and 70's. |
