I chose rock, like all the other 14 people, but if you had an option for Electronica, I would have chose that without question. _________________ Read my LiveJournal

You left out the most important choice:
"Eclectic."
That means I like some of everything.
In fact, here's a quick sampling of my "playlist."
--------------------------------------------------------
Songs You Know by Heart (album)--Jimmy Buffett. Because most of us do. Even the song that the radio stations wouldn't play.
Somewhere Over China--Jimmy Buffett. Because we're all romantics.
Quietly Making Noise--Jimmy Buffett. Because I am.
You Shook Me All Night Long--AC/DC. We all need to do an air guitar impression of Angus Young.
We Built This City--Jefferson Starship. Because Tom Lehrer and Stan Freberg were wrong; rock and roll is here to stay.
Brothers in Arms (album)--Dire Straits. Because I should have learned to play the guitar.
There'll Be Some Changes Made--Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler. Because some music is too serious.
At Seventeen--Janis Ian. Because we all learned the truth about then.
Calling Occupants--Klaatu. Because weird is as weird does.
Celestial Soda Pop--Ray Lynch. Because sometimes rock is too much.
Walk Like an Egyptian--The Bangles. Because we all did; who could resist girls with guitars and mini skirts?
It's Still Rock and Roll to Me--Billy Joel. Why call it anything else?
Scenes from My Italian Restaurant--Billy Joel. Because I have a 35th high school reunuion this summer.
Wicked and Weird--Buck65. Because rap deserves to be made fun of.
Cocaine--Eric Clapton (live version). Because that bass is just too impressive. You won't hear it without a reallyl good speaker.
On Broadway--George Benson. Because we all have our dreams.
Move It On Over--George Thorogood. Because we're all in trouble sometimes.
Centerfold--J Geils Band. Because we've all had dreams shattered.
Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money--Warren Zevon. Because sometimes things don't work out.
Gimme Three Steps--Lynard Skynard. Because we all hope never to be in that situation.
Late in the Evening--Paul Simon. Because no one can sit still through this one.
1952 Vincent Black Lightning--Richard Thompson. Because red hair and black leather is my favorit color scheme?
Bolero--Maurice Ravel. Because that age had its rock stars, too. (If you can listen to this piece without imagining two skaters at the Olympics, you're just too young.)
Low Rider--War. Because it doesn't sound like its subject.
Let's Think About Living--Bob Lumen. Because all the early rock songs about dying were pretty ridiculous.
Lady in Red--Chris Deburg. Because...was that black hair and red leather?
Bop--Dan Seals. Because nostalgia feels good, sometimes.
Mull of Kintyre--Wings. Because it has bagpipes in it.
Back in '64--The Rutles. Because some of the Beatles never got old enough.
Sleepwalk--Santos and Johnny. Because it just sounds like summer.
Eleanor--The Turtles. Because of the strained rhymes. _________________ Quietly making noise, making noise,
Pissing off the old killjoys.
Not too soft, not too loud,
Just enough to draw a crowd.

While I rarely listen to music (due to a shortage of stuff I like) Country is by far the best poll choice available. *Puts on hardhat.* _________________ Richard Reid

Just because the genre is dead in the states, its alive everywhere else in the world. I speak of DISCO...
But as for my vote...

Well we're big rock singers
We got golden fingers
And we're loved everywhere we go
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
At ten thousand dollars a show
We take all kinda pills
That give us all kinda thrills
But the thrill we've never known
Is the thrill that'll getcha
When you get your picture
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone
Wanna see my picture on the cover
Wanna buy five copies for my mother
Wanna see my smilin' face
On the cover the cover of the Rollin' Stone
I got a freaky old lady
Name a Cocaine Katie
Who embroideries on my jeans
I got my poor ol' grey haired Daddy
Drivin' my limousine
Now it's all designed
To blow our minds
But our minds won't really be blown
Like the blow that'll getcha
When you get your picture
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone
Wanna see my pictures on the cover
Wanna buy five copies for my mother
Wanna see my smiling face
On the cover the cover of the Rollin' Stone
We gotta lotta little teenage blue-eyed groupies
Who'll do anything we say
We got a genuine Indian guru
Who's teachin' us a better way
We got all the friends that money can buy
So we never have to be alone
And we keep gettin' richer, but we can't get our picture
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone
Wanna see my picture on the cover
Wanna buy five copies for my mother
Wanna see my smilin' face
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone
Gonna see my picture on the cover
Gonna buy five copies for my mother
Gonna see my smiling face
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone

Given the choices, Country would be mine.
"Rock" is just too general. |

I voted rock though like a lot of others my music taste is a mish-mash of every kind of music possible....
Techno, trance, rock, country sometimes, pop on the rare occasion, and even rap once in a blue moon. _________________ Planetfurry moderator
