Alright, the article is in Danish but I want to at least show where I got this, and as far as I know we've got a few Scandinavian users here as well...
Anyway, the gist of the story is that a man named Heath Campell from New Jersey has named his son Adolf Hitler, and now he's offended that other people get offended by what they perceive as his son's offensive name.
Offensive!!
The local bakery refused to make a birthday cake with the name Adolf Hitler written on it, and Mr. Campell does not understand why anyone would be upset and offended about a three-year-old's name.
His deep, thoughtful and well thought out (smell the irony folks) reasoning for naming his son Adolf Hitler?
"I wanted to give my son a name that no one else had. If I stood in the supermarket, shouting 'Bryan', a child might come up to me which isn't mine. If I shouted 'Adolf' or 'Hitler' only my son would come.'
Mr. Campell does not actually call himself a neo-nazi, but he has a fascination for German culture, the Nazi period and war in general.
All I can say is...way to wreck your kid's future, Mr. Campell. |

Priorities, man, they're called priorities. Ace decision. |

Whenever a parent saddles their child with a 'unusual' name, that person will suffer for the rest of their lives with it. The parents, thinking they made their child stand out, actually made their child a possible outcast. For every one that survived a strange name, there are many others that did not.
I was very careful to name my daughters with very good 'normal' names so my oldest daughter gave my youngest grandson the middle name "Phoenix".
Oh Well,

I remember hearing about a month or so back on the BBC that the remnants of the Nazi Party in Germany were offering about $5000 American (if memory serves) to anyone naming their Aeryan son Adolf. _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A. Sigurd Olson |

One day, he'll be looking for his first place. He'll check out the house/apartment/condo/cardboard box, look out the window... and see the lovely synagogue right down the street. Talk about feuds with neighbors. _________________ My FA |

Should he murder his father, like the kid who tallied the spankings he was given did, I propose the punishment includes immediate freedom, 500 dollars in cash, an Xbox 360 with two games, a case of Jones soda, and free therapy sessions. _________________ Hey, Sony... IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

He's not a nazi he says...
But doesn't mention(in the interview) that his two-year old daughter has the middle name 'Aryan nation', or that on previous cakes he's also tried to have swastikas...
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck... it probably also sh!ts like a duck...
BTW: Aslaug, have you seen the trailer for the Max Manus movie yet?

And a free legal change of name if he so desires. _________________ Ciara 12/26/08
