Unfortunately all I ever see is folks to busy worrying about amassing more money to have time for friends. While I tend to go out of my way to try and help my friends all I see in return is self-centeredness, lack of care and inability to be bothered.
(I'm fairly well turned off by the human race right now, course it doesn't help that Oct. 7th is looming near and that just makes every annoyancein life seem worse)
Speaking of where you live Mog, you need to move from that mold and such asap. You know the mold we used to be living in kept me deathly ill, well just last week IronTiger's cousin died because she lived in mold for about a year. She was just a couple weeks short of her 25th birthday, talked on the phone to her dad, complained of a bad headache, he called again 10 minutes later and she was already dead. I worry about you down in that crap hole. _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!

These people know what they are talking about. I suggest we listen.

A friend of ours who, thankfully hasn't been around for well over a year so he won't see this, is getting married in a couple of weeks. His fiance's bachelorette party is being planned by her mother and Patty, they were given three weeks notice because the couple didn't want to do the parties the night before the weddings. The bride's mother paid for the limo and the hotel suite and Patty bought all the party supplies. Here's the kick in the shins, the bride is pissed because her mother wanted to go shopping with Patty, and while Patty knew this she couldn't get a hold of the mother since the woman NEVER answers her go'ram phone! So the bride is pissy and was saying she didn't know if she wanted us in the wedding anymore and we spent almost two hundred dollars on supplies which destroyed our disposable income for the next two weeks. We were going to use the money to start a savings account for when Patty goes on maternity leave. Patty is pissed and we both regret introducing the two of them. Have you heard the term 'Bridezilla'? She's turned into Super-Bitchy-Bride-From-HELL!!!
We spent money we should have saved for us on HER bachelorette party and SHE's pissed at us because we didn't bring her mother!? The economy stinks and we're getting this shit.
For those of you who know who I'm talking about because you were invited to the wedding, *looks pointedly at several big names on the forum* I've already told him, he just doesn't need to know that I've told people here. I think one of you plans to stay with them for a while as a vacation, I truelly pity you.
There is good news on my front though as some stuff goes. My parents have a Victorian mansion, and they are going to remodel the third floor into a pair of bedrooms small living room and half bath for us, plus giving us free access to the whole first floor. They will be putting our names on the mortgage along with theirs, and the mortgage is paid off in only seven years. We sell our place, the money from that offsets the house loan that paid for the renovation and we get live in babysitters when we have a kid. The house stays in the family and it's an all around win. We'll be paying in less towards staying at the house than we pay for our mortgage, association dues, and parking, which will make paying off student loans a hell of a lot easier. The economy stinks but sometimes there are ways to make a crappy situation can cause good things to happen. _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A. ^^ yeah I understand that annoyance, I'd add some of my annoyances but then we'd be veering too far off the topic, that's what the "rants" thread in my sub area is for lol! _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!
