I"m kinda leary about his latest comic arch. I mean it just wreaks of bad monster movie referrences and awful jokes. I like much of the prior works but his recent arks seems to be slacking a bit. And despite it being very grotesque, I still read it on a regular basis. _________________ Asalis: (uh*sah*lis)

Well, the latest arc is kinda like that on purpose IMO. It's clearly satirical and silly, making fun of horror movies, which to me is a good thing. Jack is often very, very dark, it's nice to see the author make light of things with a totally silly Arc, like he's done in some short mini-arcs. Some of the jokes in those 1 or 2 strip arcs were quite funny.
Personally, I laughed my butt off when the snowman summoned ninjas to battle the mob bosses.
Some hate it, but I'm actually enjoying Frigid McThunderbones. _________________ Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool. |

Quote David Hopkins
--- 9/18/2009 More Previews and some good news ---
I have put some new previews on the forum and recieved word that Hannah has finished her comitment to the story and her pages will be sent out soon. If all goes well, not next week but the week after, you should start seeing new pages. The link to the preview is Here.
--- 9/17/2009 Update... ---
While I wait for the pages to return from Hannah I have been working on new pages (as of writing I've finished 19 pages) expect another preview of these pages to hit the forum soon. I really do apologies for all of this and I promise no one is feeling it more than me. Not being able to update the comic has sent me this frequent wall of depression (Imagine you were only good at one thing and as much as you wanted to do that one thing, you can't...) I know Hannah has been going through some tough times so I really don't wish to rush her and I would prefer those of you in contact with her not badger her in any way, it wont help. On the bright side I know eventually we will update and all this back log of pages I've been doing will mean there will be a period where the comic will update daily as a thank you to you all for being so patient. For those of you going to Rainfurrest in Seattle, it looks like I'll probably be going for Saturday and Sunday, I wont have a table I'll just be wandering and I wont be there the whole day as I've got work at night and will need to sleep in the morning. But if you find me, I'll probably have those pages I mentioned on me. Thank Tet for taking time off getting ready for his new baby for fixing the newsbox and thanks again to all of you for your understanding. _________________ Whether a black cat brings misfortune or not, depends on whether one is a fur or a mouse.

He's a christian comics writer, not a website script genius.

I have just finished reading through Jack from start to end for the first time. Well... as current as the latest posting is which was... today? I really like the style of story telling the author uses. Also... the artwork is really nice.
I have always loved the concept of the afterlife and individual's interpretation of it via story. As I read into this story and picked at the author's brain you can see an interesting twist on Salvation and the After-life.
I personally have been doing some research on reincarnation so I found this comic to be a rather great bit of study. I am definately going to have to read through this a second time. _________________ Murph, this is my signature, read it with awe and admiration while you wish you had one like this. |
