Now that is how education should be taught.

Anyfur played Morrowind? I have detailed discussions with my friends of our exploits in the game. Not only do we know the names of over 50 locations, we can also relate the best routes to get there by different means of travel. I know the best places to go for different services, know every city that has a mages guild and fighters guild. I could give a list of the flora and fauna I've come across. It's insane!
How is it that we retain this kind of information and not the facts we learn in school? It's because our minds are actively engaged. If you want to learn something, you will find a way. I don't even have to try to remember the three main political houses in Morrowind (Hlaalu, Redoran, and Telvanni), yet I struggle with geometry.
Imagine if education was taught through video games. What if you had to learn a language before you could progress to the next section?

I've seen AA, and I think it's great. One of the aspects when you are learning to shoot an automatic rifle is breathing. You can hear yourself inhale and exhale, and if you shoot at the height of an inhale or exhale your shot will be more accurate. That is true in real life and I've put it to use since then when target shooting.

I guess I'm just so sick of being bored with school. Why can't I learn geometry so I can build a catapult to defend my home city from invaders?

onic - get your butt into engineering or computer science - develop some sweet virtual reality system and port it to windows... (last part is the hardest, trust me)

then make some school-friendly games that aren't so violent that the school boards will reject them - and start getting jiggi!

active engagement..learn by doing..sitting and reading from a book is all fine and good, but it isn't practical till you take what you learned into a practical application.. virtual space would be the ultimate medium for testing new knowledge..>.> and cheap too.

i loved american armies medic training.. was the most fun i had with that game till i stopped playing it
