Hmmm... been quite a long time since I wrote something in here... Guess nothing exciting was going on.
Some of your might know that I am working part time for Games Workshop. creating of the Warhammer and Warhammer 40K tabletop strategy games. For a while now I have tried to get a full time job with them and last Friday I finally had a job interview. It went well and during the week I will know whether I got the job. I really hope I did. Unemployment, while nice in the free-time department sucks financially. I would also mean a change of scenery since I would have to move to a different part of Germany.
In addition to that, this coming weekend is the Games Day Germany, which for the first time I will attend not as a visitor but as an employee.
Needless to say, it will be an exciting week for me. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Games Day was very exhausting but still great fun! I didn't get to see as much as I would like to and didn't get to buy as much as I would have liked to... but I was there to work, not to buy and see so that's alright. At least I got free soda out of it.
But most importantly... I got the job! _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Congratulations, Tygon! That's great news! Welcome to the gaming industry, it's a wild, fast-paced, fun place to work. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

I doubt that it is your definition of 'gaming industry' for it has nothing to do with video/computer games.
Anyway, things are finally finalized. I'll be starting my new job on the 1st of September. That also means that I'll be moving around that date and will most likely be without internet connection for a while. Meaning I won't be around. Not that many will notice but just in case there are people left who care, I'm only gone for a while. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Thanks for the kind words (and sorry for the late reply) but personally I can't think of anything particular that I have done recently around here. And if I don't to anything to be on people's mind, how can they notice that I am gone? _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Confidence, Tygon. Must someone always do something memorable in order to be remembered? Perhaps you are remembered simply because people care, not because of anything significant that you have done. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

indeed, a friend is one who cares about you, not what you can give them you have friends here Ty even if you've never been face to face with some of them. _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston

Well, maybe I'm just depressed again. In any case, this will most likely my last entry here for a while. I have a temporary apartment in Krefeld (the city where I am moving) for the next three month and I doubt that I will have an internet connection there.
So, see you all later. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Good luck, Tygon! Hop on at the library or something and drop us a line to tell us how you're doing out there. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

Well, I arrived safely.
Currently I am online using the t-online hotspot at the local McDonalds but in 2 to 3 weeks I should get my very own connection. Found out that I can more or less simply take it with me when I move to a permanent home for myself.
Other than that, nothing to report. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
