Interesting, very...interesting.

So, Adren did get back to his originial dimension.

Questions, questions and not an answer to be found...yet, though i'm sure the speculations will be flying around like photons in a hall of mirrors. Theories such as, "Who sent Arden back to his originaly dimension?", " How is it that Arden has returned when is spirit was shattered and scattered?", and "How did Arden get this one shot amulet?".

Seems as if a small chunk is missing, as the epiloge seems to be set in a time after chapter 50.

With the talk of a possible act IV, it makes me wonder if it will contain the missing pieces to this epic tale. Or if Hikaru will be playing Luci and tell us that "Somethings are better left not known."...Oops...! Or maybe i should just keep quiet lest tons of decomposing flora come shooting out of my moniter!

What do you feel is missing? Keep in mind that I'm not going to give away anything from Act IV in the Epilog, so with that in mind, what's missing?

Mainly what everyone is wanting to know is how Arden is going to get back, which that question seems to have been answered, what was the alibi that Luci gave Sheila, and what thei kits will be and what will happen with them. But we also know that you'd never really give us anything but a couple of clues.

Well, I think that the Alibi Lucifer gave to Sheila was that she and Arden got kidnapped and maybe Arden died in the fight. It is the most congruent one I can think of.

The kittens are going to have their appearances(omg sp?) on Act IV, or maybe another story.

Am I right?

The kits will be birthed in Act IV, however they'll be a little.....young to be having adventures. Smile

They will have their on story later when they're young adults.

Cheers

Seems I forgot to log in again : -(

What i meant about a chunk missing was, that it seemed kind of sudden for Arden to just not only appear, but also to possess the one use amulet.

I'd have figured that at least several months would have past before Arden would remake an appearance... It would have to be pretty difficult to restore even a fraction of yourself if your spirit was 'shattered and scattered' in such a quick time.

Mostly its Arden's sudden appearance and his mysterious amulet that makes it feel as if something's missing. Almost like there was a chapter after 50 and before the epilogue that went rogue and valished.

I didnt think you'd let any Act IV secrets out, it would either send people into a rabid frenzy, or spoil the grand mystery : -)

I see what you're getting at, Wolf-Cat. But I think that merely a certain amount of time has gone by. I mean, in the time it took Arden to write his book, he had time to grow a mullet (pony tail).

I think it's absolutely cool, the way Arden did his magic to the poor doctor's bear....that would be the kind of magic I'd like to do, if I could really DO magic....cute, inconsequential stuff.

And of course, warping out with his amulet would make a believer out of any skeptic. Cool

Just when I had settled in for the long wait for Act IV, you go and drop this on us. I'm outraged! Nah, I'm just more anxious than ever to get the answers the others in this thread have referred to already. That was a very cool interlude and while I had just assumed Arden would return to Sheila, I wasn't sure how or in what form.

I'll take the crumbs you scatter for us, just don't forget to give us the rest of the loaf. Did you receive the vixens I sent?

A typical chapter...

Answers a few questions and poses a whole truckload of new ones...

Wouldn't it be a strange coincidence if this chapter takes place a year (to the day) after what happened in chapter 50?

No....

That would be too obvious...

answers or no answers, I'm happy to see that Arden has retained his magical abilities...

It will be interesting to see if he retains them after appearing Sheilas dimension?

Also, as Sheilas alibi: It has to involve Arden not getting killed, or at least her not knowing of such - he has to be able to come back without upsetting said alibi (although that would be kinda sweet seen from ol' luci's perspective)

Oh boy! And here I was beginning to think the controversy had died down. Smile

Mike and Anthony are on the right track. Think about this, folks: It took me 4 years to write this story and that was doing it part time. How long do you think it would have taken Arden to put the pieces together? (Let's not forget having the book printed and bound. *Laughs*)

The time between chapter 50 and the Epilog is not one day or one year. Y'all will have to wait for Arden to show up before you know just how long. Even then, that date won't perfectly coincide with the Epilog. Arden will have been up to some things prior to making an appearance. Smile

Note to Hortmage: Arden had a mullet when he was a polar bear. He had long hair when he was human towards the end too, only it was wild and frizzy. It sems Karmic Rebirth doesn't come with a hair-cut for some reason.

I'm going to be deviding my time over the next couple of weeks between Act IV and another short that I've been promising someone for a LONG time. Hopefully Act IV will start before the end of the month.

Meanwhile, keep the controversy flying. I've actually mined a couple of good ideas from y'all so far. Those responsible might even get a kudo's in the story somehow. ^_-

Cheers

That you'll have to wait and see.

Zig was on trial supposedly for the murder of Sheila and Arden.
If she was sent back as she was then it would have to be 9 months later she comes back. Kannsman could already have Zig convicted, in jail and scheduled for execution, if that has not already been carried out.

Even if Zig had been convicted, it takes YEARS before they get around to actually fry 'em.

Cheers

Yeah, even here in Texas, most men on death row end up waiting at least ten years before they ever get around to their execution. And most women wait even longer.

I never did think that this would have happened but was trying to stir up the pot and them thinking of all the possiblities.

If she HAD been executed I think there would have been a race between James and Black Rabbit as to how got the bearskin rug on thier floor first. Twisted Evil

If Zig was exocuted James and Black Rabbit wouldn't be the only ones out hunting for a certain bear.
But I'm sure that Sheila wiould be back with more than enough time to clear Zig even if she has already been convicted.
