Four years in the making.
500,000 words in the typing.
136 chapters all told.....
And now, the final chapter has been posted in the main story....
At least until I get around to writing Act IV that is. *laughs*
32 pages long, folks. This is it. Get it while it's hot!

Excellent story, Hikaru.
I've enjoyed reading it from beginning to end...probably more times than would be considered healthy. Now, i'm saddened to see it come to a close... like watching the final episode of a favorite Tv show.
It is definately a tale of epic proportions!
When you do begin writing act four, I'm sure you'll once again have us super-glued to the monitor!
Once again, Geart story and exquisite work, Hikaru! |

<shouts random qoutes from souths parks more creative language-usage at hikaru>
How dare you!?!
You better get your fussy butt busy on making a chapter one in the fourth act or there'll be a lot of testy fans out here that wont like it!!!
apart from that, great chapter! (Although some clarification on Ardens situation - or lack of - would have been nice to see) _________________ My Deviant artpile

Sorry, but that would defeat the entire point of having a cliff-hangar ending!
Maybe I should title Act IV: Where's Arden?

Cliff-hanger my dear. That cliff is at least a light-year high.
Isn't there anyone (except for maybe Sheila, but I'm not sure about her either) who does not mix and wrap thr truth and lies like a fractal onion? _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

Gee, who'da thought that an epic tale regarding the outcome of the universe would involve a court hearing?
Great story Hikaru! I've enjoyed it since Act I. I look forward to your next literary project.
(By the way, which Japanese cartoon did you quote when Arden duplicated himself? I'm guessing "Naruto") _________________ Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators the creator seeks--those who write new values on new tablets.

I think that some lawyers could give Lucifer a run for his money on being evil and not even break a sweat doing it _________________ I'm a serial killer, it's a bad habbit.

Technically, that anime hasn't come out according to the official time-line. This is early 2001 as far as Sheila's concnerned. However, that is where I got the idea for the ability. Nothing like a good ninja cartoon to lighten up the week.

Excellent job, Hikaru!!! My sincerest congratulations and thanks!
This surely is one He11 of a cliff-hanger...I'm most curious as to what false memories and alibi he gave Sheila, which would explain her absence, her pregnancy, and vindicate Zig Zag, all at once!
Whether we ever learn exactly what happens...I feel good knowing that Sheila at least made it home to have her kits.
Thanks for the excellent story! _________________ Hortmage, the Magic Gardener

Hmmm, if most of the involved beings did not really have free will (the angel, Lucifer and probably Lakash), the "court" was mostly a sham, just an event to bring Arden to the point where he made his choice/wish.
(As was most of the quest.)
Hmmm, an interesting question:
Does God Himself have a "free will"? Or does the question even make sense? _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |
