I talked to James. He'll be putting the story back on line. It was just getting expensive with the old hosting.

For anyone interested, I still have a lot of the Raccoon's Bookshelf stories archived.

Cheers!!

That's great! Is there a chance you could share them with us?

I've been looking for an archive for a long time now.

It's not pretty, but most all the data is there.

Cheers!!

Well, Aslaug's one file is a zero-byte file. Oops. Just thought I would mention that.

Thanks for the link. Smile I'll have fun digging around in there.

Sadly for Rava there is only her HP stuff and not her SabrinaVerse story.

Cheers Smile and thanks. I'll download them some time today and upload what I have via dropbox or google drive so you can update the index.

I'm also looking for these two books that were in raccoon bookshelf but can't find them anywhere.

Cyril / The human factor
The furry human book 1 (have the second one, will upload it)

Thanks again for sharing what you have.

Regards!

Interesting that you have The Furry Human book 2. I guess book one was lost, then.
I know the last book Martijn was working on was never completed due to the Bookshelf going down.

Yeah, I had a phone with all three books back in the days but it's completely broken and can't retrieve data from it. I saw The Furry Human book 2 on Yumpu and downloaded it so at least it doesn't disappear into nothingness.

However I refuse to believe that everything is lost Very Happy. I'll update the drive once I sort everything out and have some spare time.

Glad to know James is still among us. I never did hear from him.

I get it, RL gets in the way, and funding is definitely a part of RL. I've been devoting a lot of RL to upgrades to the Little Red Beast, and it certainly absorbs a lot of $$$$ as well as time. But it's fun, keeps me busy.

And thanks, Hikaru, for the additional archiving, and all the stuff you do for PF and our genre family.

Back to the shop. Where's my coffee ... ?

I hear ya. The Great White Buffalo and the Exploder both take bites out of my wallet every time I go near either one. The Buffalo needs new shoes, LT265-75r16 Load range E Wrangler Duratracs. Those will be a big bite out of the wallet, maybe the whole billfold this time.

I hear ya, brother. The LRB is due for some new shoes soon ... LT285/75R17 Goodrich All Terrain KO2s ... 5 of 'em. At roughly $350 apiece, that eats into some serious wallet leather, never mind the contents therein.

Good times, huh?

Well. Months have past. And the site is now truly out in the wilds. :S

Came here after about 15 years away looking for updates on the old foxxDen and ZZstudios sites.

FD is still sort of around, but I only found ZZ by seaching the wayback machine. The good news is that the full text of the serial does seem to be in the WBM - so it hasn't been lost.

Hello,

It's heartwarming to hear about the sentimental value these stories hold for you. Regarding James Bruner and Chris, it seems their online activity has been sporadic. Your message to James might still receive a response, and reaching out to Chris could provide more insights.

Expressing your gratitude and offering support for hosting costs is a wonderful idea. It not only acknowledges their contributions but also ensures others can continue to enjoy these stories in the future.

Best of luck, and I hope you receive positive news from the authors.

Warm regards.
