It's been a good week, I got myself a M-1Garand, after years of wanting one...

Who was the builder? Says right on top of the receiver. I have a 1944 International Harvester and a 1943 Springfield Armory variant. The IHC was through the DCM, "As New" condition covered in about 5 pounds of Cosmoline. I still have about 4 lbs of it hanging around somewhere. Probably has a thousand rounds through it, tops. Won my first Camp Perry shoot with it.

So, gonna post a pic of your M1 Thumb? Seems like almost evryone gets one on the first trip to the range. My brother shot my Springfield, went to reload and didn't follow my directions. Knocked his thumbnail right off.

Happy Shooting!

Almost forgot, now looking for a traditional "Carry Handle" Ar15. Preferably 20" barrel with a triangle forearm.

I think this is the one;

https://atlanticfirearms.com/ar15-rifle-vietnam-war-m16-style-windham-weaponry-r20gvta1s7-m4a2

I carried one of these during my military days, an AR-15A1 (sometimes) or a slick side Colt 601 (mostly). I like the simplicity of a 'Nam era rifle with no extra garbage hanging off of it.

Price is a bit steep but that's what they are now if you want that feel. This is actually lighter than some with a removable carry handle on a flat top receiver.

Remember, the Old Warhorse says, "Until you're ready to knock holes in somethin', keep your booger hook off the bang switch!"

Still nursing my right hand after extensive surgery on the pinky finger. This makes the third surgery for tumors and it most likely won't be the last. One finger typing is slow as hell. I hope to be back up to speed in a few weeks.

I'm trying to gather up all fiction books that I grew up with. Currently in my 30's and wish to do something for the community. With the recent closing of zzstudios I'm on a quest to gather all books and possibly leave a link for anyone to download them (with permission of course). I'd appreciate it if anyone has books with furries, like zzstudios, gone wylde, reeldad and so on...

Happy week / weekend gentle reader.

Stay humble!
