In this topic I'll post you on my progress regarding my exploration into the Warhammer 40k world. The first post will most likely be about my advances at learing the rules and building and painting the first troops. Of the latter there will also be photos
I don't know if anybody is interested in this at all but I'll do it anyway. I feel like doing it
Oh, if you have comments, feel free to post them. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Day 1
Started reading the rule book. Know most of background so I skipped that part. Almost finished part about movement.
Have to read faster.
Informed friend that Warhammer 40K is now in my possesion. He looks forward to first game.
Started building the troops. When I saw all the small parts I decided to build the landscape parts first.
Build my first Dark Eldar. Came out nice. Had almost forgotten that glueing small figures together is such a sticky endeavor. Will post photo of it tomorrow.
Conclusion of first day: I need to work faster. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Day 2
Continued assemby of my Dark Eldars (hehe, I made a pun )
My mom is taking a liking in my new hobby since it for once keeps me away from the computer and I told her that I got the money for it by deciding not to buy a new console

Alas, assembly is the horror that all of us in the hobby must endure. Maybe I should get a pic of one of my tenks to send you, like my 'anti-tank' Vanquisher tank with the bent barrel (it helps the crew shoot straighter! Really!) |

Day 2 Addendum
Have 4 Dark Eldar assembled (see photo below). Rest of the troops is about half finished.
Maybe I'll do more today. Will have to see.
For now Conclusion of the day: Dark Eldars are a pain to assemble. I hope the Space Marines will be easier.
Man, I hope I can start buildy my Tyranid army soon _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Day 2 Addendum 2
Finished 3 more Dark Eldar and another one is almost done.
Only 12 left to assemble. Yay me
Final conclusion of the day: I don't like Dark Eldar. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

If it's any help, that's one of the reasons I never got very far with my Eldar - the Guardians are a royal pain to assemble. Yes, the Space Marines are easier, but still tedious and time-consuming. But it's worth it. Remember, once they're all assembled, you get to blow them up!

Be patient, young Padawan! All shall come to pass soon. Play-test the rules first. Get a hang for everything. This is important. Tyranids are modular now, and you can add all sorts of nifty little modifications to them using the plastic sprues in the boxes. It helps to know just how those modifications will help you before you assemble them, and the best way to do this is to get the hang of the rules first. |

Neither do I, which is why I play Imperial Guard and IG Armored Company.
Well, that and I like the tanks. |

Oh, I don't have to like them. I'll just use them for practicing until I go the hang of the rules and can start my Tyranid army _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Thanks. Maxx. I think I'm getting better. I'm not exactly new at such thing (glueing plasitic things together) I just haven't done it in a few years _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
