Nice.
As you're adding a level of detail not normally seen on Sabrina, I hope you've checked with EWS first?
(It would be a shame if he said that the hairdo is wrong, or something)

Come on, sir Lion. Have you not seen EWS reacting to the images posted on FA? |

Thank you Anthony.
A while back I did run an earlier version of the character by Eric and Ken.
Both loved the model, but were more curious about the software I was using Oh well...
To quote Ken Singshow 'so far best 3D rendering of Sabrina.
her face is full of cartoon compromises (not that that is a bad thing),
making it 3D very difficult. '
And difficult it was.... The first hurdle was her hair. It looked different in
almost every drawing. It was towards the left, the right ... the back sides
all confusing... Took several approaches to achieve the style I had envisioned...
I have tried digital fur... metaballs (basically digital putty or modeling clay) complex displacement maps, the list goes on.
Then it hit me. What if I used curves to create simple polygon tubes, bend them and taper their shape? More or less the same way you
would create hair for a clay sculpture, then of course, flat shade the lot.
Eyes, body, clothing simulation, dynamics, secondary animation..
Having all this in mind...
I wonder how the ZigZag and Sheila models will turn out...

I'm not an art critic by any stretch, but from the art in the comic I thought Sabrina was a little wider in the hips? |

Noted and updated the model. ^^
Re rigged with even more features and controls.
The portion that took up the most time the was creating the
custom rig , and process, set driven key sets, and controls
The pain was finalizing the style. Eric's characters hairstyles are elaborate
[/img]
And finalizing textures, excuse the UV sets

I believe this is close enough.. however it took me way too long to
get the style just right. This is just a quick pose test , and render done
under 2 minutes on some seriously powerful hardware.
So far she has a custom skeletal rig.
56 Blend shape targets for her face alone
6 tail sates
additional controls for her nose, eyes, eyebrows, ears , hair, and mouth
Thus , most expressions are possible , as they are in the original comic
strip.
This is actually my third attempt at creating Sabrina ....
The next few days will prove interesting as I attempt to animate her.

Confessions of a arm chair quarterback...
I could not come up with a better representation of such a fan favorite. I just wanted to contribute.
GREAT JOB!! |

Hehehe Thank you!
Ah well.. Noticed that I needed to adjust her hair a little.
So round Tuesday evening I added some additional controls.
Added the ability to partially re-style her hair interactively, even
animate with relative ease.

Nice...
The sweater needs to be blue, but other than that it's incredible!
Is your program capable of doing .stl exports?
