Hello all-
I thought it high time to make a space for all the info on stuff that *isn't* From the Depths to the Heights, Path of the Kitsune, or the not-well read Books of Varden. (At some point, I will put up a message folder for that, too- assuming that anyone actually has been reading that story...)
As the topic heading suggests, it will be about new story or project notifications, any updates that I want to put up that aren't related to any specific story, and for anything and everything else that myself or any other fur wants to comment on in here.
So, with that said, let the good times roll!

Now....
To start this particular part of the PF forum off right, let me announce the posting of an all new story. It's a "one-shot", meaning that there won't be more chapters, or other parts later.
The name of the story is called "Home Again" and is even as you read this (assuming that it's about 1800hrs EST) it is being posted onto my site in a new section which I will call "Story Shorts". According to Kinsfire, he is interested in mirroring the story on his Adult Bookshelf, and I have no problems with that. (In fact, I'm pleased he'd consider it for his bookshelf.) Mike has said that he believes it may be suitable for his bookshelf, as well, and if he wishes to, he can put it there, too.
I'll warn you now- this is not a light-hearted story. I won't say anything more, as I don't want to give any of it away, but I really do want to hear feedback on this one. It matters to me to know what you readers think of this story.
For now, that's that- now go read!

I can see where Mike would consider it for his Bookshelf. It's very well written (but then again, what else can we expect from Mssr. Khan?), and raised the hackles on my neck so fast your head would spin. _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

Wow.
I read the earlier reviews here before I read the story, so I was prepared... I thought. So when I read the story, my first impression was, "Hm, it starts with a bit of a downer, but nothing all that intense. Must have just caught Nameless at a bad time." But it built. About halfway through, I had the impression that the "water" glass I'd started with had been filled with 100-proof vodka - not literally, but that was the emotional effect. A total blindside rush.
And, paradoxically, it continued to build. Even after the crisis, the climax... the tension keeps growing, all the way through to the very end. How do you do that, Sehr Khan? When I look at the words objectively, I can't see why they should resonate like that - yet resonate they do.
Wow. Just...
Wow. |

Certainly not if you're not seated, or located where you have a soft place to land. But I'm not saying not to read it, only to be ready for it. Good stuff, just strong. |

BTW: Shirh, I don't want to offend you or anything. I just wanted to say that I won't read it anytime soon and explain why. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

I read it. And, as per usual, i liked it. Some heavy material in there, though, but nothing I couldn't handle. Some might be highly upset at the subject matter, but not offended. Not emotional along the same lines as the Intermezzos, but hard hitting just the same. Hats off to you, Shirh! _________________ ~Sammie the Pizza Box

Disturbing, yet, Like a train wreck or car accident, I couldn't look away!

So I sit here in front of the keyboard with my face hanging out, trying to come up with something coherent. And failing.
Galadrion had the right of it. The pace accelerated through the entire telling, and I was in the dark about how it would end until it ended. Reminded me a little of some of the crap I went through in college. Not in content, but it form.
It was almost . . . disturbing. Very, very well done, but disturbing. _________________ Oddly enough, my life is based on a true story. (Ashleigh Brilliant) |

|
|
Question: Is committing homicide on your Muse against the law?
I ask because, today alone, she has dropped three brand new ideas for storys on me! I can't keep up with her!! Someone trank her, please!
This is what I have in my head thus far:
*FDTH Ch. 38
*PoK Ch. 7
*Books of Varden, pt 3/6
*GD Fanfic "Second Chances"
*New "Perspective" for FDTH
*Story Short idea
*New Story Idea: God, the Devil, and an ordinary fur (not the title!)
*A BCD Story about Khan and a member of his clinic staff
and ALL of it clammering to be let loose!! But trying to concentrate on any one thing has caused me to slow down on all of it!! Aaargh!!
*Sigh* Well, I'll get it all out, eventually- I"m gonna try to work on Ch. 38 of FDTH, then see if I can throw a little bit of writing into each of the other projects, and hope none of them suffers for it.
Just needed to vent a little- back to your regularly scheduled PF viewing...
