I'm gonna go ahead and second the song I saw mentioned earlier. When I saw the title, I just meeped... and faught the tears again... James Taylor "Fire and Rain"...
"I've seen fire, and I've seen rain."
"I've seen lonly times when I could not find a friend."
"But I always thought I'd see you, just one more time."
I think that song not only captures the loss, but how it was so sudden, and unexpected. And if no one works up a working soundtrack of what it sounded like in that hospital room (complete with background music thats fitting) I swear I'll use what sound-work experiance (along with some acting, though not the voice kind) to perhapse bring it audiably to life. If only to help aid in the healing process we all must go through to get over this and move on... Much like Cirrel's picture has helped me get past it, albeit with a few very long crying sessions. Some people come to terms well with text, I'm more visual, and yet more people come to terms best through sound. And some of us are just so desensitized that we must have both sound and video, that applies to those of us who only get emotional when watching a very good movie. At any rate... I believe it should be brought to some kind of an audiatory forum, somehow... and I think 'Fire and Rain' would make a good background filler as if it were playing on the radio at the hospital. Anyway, just my 2 euro-cents again. Now to try and sleep... ::scoffs:: That aint happenin... not tonight.

I heard the perfect song for the part of Chapter 6 where Chris is watching the recordings of Sabrina, Daryl Worley's "I Miss My Friend". Potent just to listen tool; I understand the video packs quite a wallop. _________________ "But the wildest of all the wild animals was the Cateagle. Errant, the 'net necromancer....
For Refirmation, John William's "Hymn to the Fallen" from the Saving Private Ryan soundtrack would fit well. The solemn but strong tone fits the scene.
A sappy theme for Dick Badger that I think fits him and his 'old traditional' feel would be "We Have All The Time In World" by Louis Armstrong.
"Through The Fire" from the Top Gun soundtrack (for an eighties movie it has paws down the best rock soundtrack out there) fits incredible well as a background theme as Tabitha's getting ready for the jump and mid-jump.
"Destination Unknown" from Top Gun fits in when Tab is worrying about her jump at various points.
*snicker* The Outlaws have a song called "Girl from Ohio" that is great background music when Tab's in past.
Chris's rememberances would be great played to Charlotte Church's "All that Love Can Be." |

"What we believe in" by Jim Brickman
He does not sing it, obviously, it was sang by Pam Tillis. But he did write it, and the words are -VERY- fitting for Chris Foxx as we see him in Tabitha. Especially now that we know what Sabrina's funeral was like.
"What we Believe in":
Funny, just the other day
I was walking down the street
Stopped into that place
You know, the one where we used to meet
Thought I heard you call my name
In a whisper on the wind
And I remembered you were gone,
And Never coming back again
Chorus:
But if love is what we believe in
I'll see you in heaven's first bright star
If seeing is believing
I look into the skies and there you are
You're not that far
'Cause love is what we believe in
Looking through some photographs
From not so long ago
Right now, I'd give anything
If I had only known
I would never touch you, hold you
Or kiss your face
Feel your arms around me
Or fall in your embrace
(chorus)
Bridge:
Now love will break your heart
When you say goodbye
But love is worth the pain
And all tears you cry
(instrumental)
And if seeing is believing
I look into the skies and there you are
You're not that far
'Cause love is what we believe in
And you are in my heart
And our love is what I believe in.
Now, am I the only fur, that when I heard the words "Thought I heard you call my name; In a whisper on the wind" I instantly think of TVDave's 'Final Farewell', and the scene where that happens to Chris at her gravesite. Or, the line "Now love will break your heart; When you say goodbye", and am mentally slapped with Chris's words... "Goodbye Kitten, I'll love you forever". Yes, this is definatly a song that captures Chris's point of view as we see him in this story. I was listening to some random MP3 stuff in the car on the way to my foxy, and this song came on, and I nearly had to pull off the road... I could barely see where I was going. For those of you who can aquire it, please do, if you havent heard it already, its very well written, not just in lyric, but musically as well.

Dang, good point there Elfen... I can -see- that in my mind's eye, thanks to Cirrel's 'Last Love' painting, and that sound, that song... just makes it that much more pointed and powerfull, -thank you-.

Here's my suggestion.
Mad World - Fears For Tears
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, Worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, Going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, No expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, No tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it’s a very, very…
Mad world, Mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday, Happy birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, Sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, No one knew me
Hello, teacher, tell me, what’s my lesson
Look right through me, Look right through me
And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it’s a very, very…
Mad world, Mad world
Enlarged in your world
Mad world
Every time I hear this I can't keep from thinking about Chris and Alan in Chapter 6 and The Final Farewell by TV Dave. _________________ I'm a serial killer, it's a bad habbit.

Hmm songs that fit this let me see:
In My Life - The Beatles
Back In Time - Huey Lewis & The News
Forever Autum - The War of The Worlds
The World Is Not Enough - Garbage
Toccata and Fugue, for organ in D minor - JS Bach
I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight - Foreigner
Only Time Will Tell - Asia
Unforgettable - Aretha Franklin
Chris at Sabby's gave side:
Who Wants to Live Forever - Queen
What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted - Westlife
I think there's something there for quite a bit of the stroy so far. I hope you all like my choices. _________________ "If once you start down the furry path, forever will it dominate your destiny" |
