So it's been almost two months since that go-around with a surgery-related abscess. Needless to say, that was the source of my poor health following gall bladder surgery. Feeling great, put on about five pounds so now I need to get out and lose that extra weight.

I kind of fell down the rabbit hole trying to prepare my tome "Scribe" for print, found a number of ways how not to prepare the text. Oh well, more on that later once I figure this out.

Thanks, Tora:

Got the new tires and service done for the car. Got 3/4 of the deck torn off and stacked (the transition is a clean cut). Appointment Monday (tomorrow) with the Pella window guy, going for high-end. Will stop in to Home Depot to talk Jeld Wen windows. Haven't yet signed up for college.

Besides the smallish cabin (636 square feet) there's a single-wide on the lot. As the cabin will be wide open at some point I've got to get the single-wide livable and then move things to to that. Single-wide's front door is rotted and pipes froze last winter. Been ordering stuff from HD and Amazon and that's coming in slowly. Think I need to be in the Springs this coming week so I can receive my shipments.

The cabin is west of Pikes Peak at 10,070 feet altitude and an easy drive to the gambling "resort" town of Cripple Creek. Might be kinda cool to have folks stop by for a few days, say hi, and help a bit (as they see fit). Colorado road trip anyone?

Scotty

In for my semi yearly check-in hah.

Going to be deploying in about a week. So that's exciting I guess hah

I now have two cats. Never thought I'd even had cats, bit they've grown on me.

Otherwise not much new here in Vermontland.
