I've been visiting here since I was 17 (made an actual account after lurking for a while as a guest). I'm 32 now.

Kinda blows my mind. I'm within spitting distance of early middle age, and when I first came here I couldn't even legally rent porn. haha

Some of my oldest content here represents a much younger and angrier version of me. I cringe a little to look back through any of it, but at the same time it's kind of a blast to remember.

It got me to thinking about my one big problem with the way things move so fast online now. It's hard to have roots in a place. Planetfurry is barely alive, and of course we all know how Myspace, Livejournal, and so forth have all wilted. Tumblr recently committed effective suicide.

I think Furaffinity is the only site I use that is still active and long well established at the same time. Facebook lives, although I dislike it personally.

That aside, it's pretty odd how much of life has revolved around this place so far. Definitely would not have been the same without it.

I remember a younger you, Cookie ... and a younger me, for that matter.

Yeah, looking back through some of the earlier stuff I posted makes me cringe as well. It's part of life, I guess ... cringing at your younger self.

This place may be on life support, but that's alright. There are a few people around here, still.

Hope you're doing okay, overall ...

Wish some of the older ones would add to their stories on here (Not you Aslaug, I know you're still writing, just posting elsewhere.) Now that I've finished Fire On High, it's gotten very quiet.

I'm trying to return to several in progress stories that RL and health issues put a damper on. Re-reading thirtyplus chapeters of a tome that hasn't been touched in more than a year is taking some time.

BTW filly, you didn't pack Bio up did you?

I mean Exan does stop by (rarely) but nothing from Bio (hmmm, wonder if he packed himself away shortly after you left) …

I actually don't know what happened after I left ... I hadn't been back for almost five years when someone prodded me after finding my stuff on the waybackwhen-oldtimey-lost-internet-pages-page ... and all the memories just started flooding in.
