Tell us something that happened in your day.
Naturally the "I woke up" and "I went to work" will come up hah.

This afternoon my son and I were "driving" (sitting in the driver's seat with him in my lap while parked in the parking lot of the store my wife is shopping in) when he honked the horn at some guy walking in front of my truck. In true Vermont fashion, the guy stopped in his tracks and pretended that my son was about to run him over.

We all got a good laugh from it.

Nice! I haven't had much time for video games.

On that note... Today I managed to chop and stack a little under a cord of wood by hand before having to go to work. Hurray for winter coming!

Ordered Google Fiber. If everything goes well, it should (hopefully) get installed sometime in Oct or Nov.

Got the Tigress' cellphone back up and running again.

Verizon carrier, LG Enact slider. The phone shipped with 4.1.3 (I think) so last Thursday morning it wanted to update to 4.4.2 kitkat.

Somehow, the update, that only took less than a minute to complete, damaged the battery. Phone complained that the battery was not genuine and it would shut down after less than a minute. Two more phones complained about that battery, too.

So, several replacement phones and having Verizon ship us the one battery that was like hens' teeth later, she now as an operating phone. We even bit the bullet and let the phone update. That update took about a half-hour to complete but the phone still works.

Nice stove.

Here in the Bay Area, in the Peoples Republic of Californistan, you can't burn wood unless your stove is equipped with a catalyst(!) to reduce emissions.

Fireplace inserts are okay as are pellet stoves. Straight ol' burning of wood directly in a fireplace or a open combustion stove is a big no-no.

Feat of the day - managed to get my Dropbox account working on my laptop, desktop, smartphone and tablet. Even the Ol' Warhorse can find himself technologically challenged at times.

I made a wood stove in wood shop once.

It didn't survive the first use. Wink

Catalyst are a waste of money. Secondary burners work just as well.
Hopefully we will have it hooked up in the next month.

Hikaru: I made a barrel stove for the barn. Works great hah. Almost too great. I can have it a nice 70° inside when its -10° outside lol.

I didn't do anything too special today. I did some dishes? Hah

Just got back from a wedding/camping trip. Let's just say room temperature pork, beer, and liquor don't mix well in the stomach by morning.
