I generally do not post things like this but I feel it necessary this time.
I was diagnosed with a 8mm kidney stone this morning. Not a hope I can pass it so I'll have to have something done about it. Even with the pain meds, I'm in a world of hurt right now.
Your prayers would be appreciated.

I've heard of a procedure were they use sonic waves to try and break up a large stone into smaller bits that can be passed, maybe you can ask about that. hope the pain stops real soon. just be glad they don't shoot downed horses anymore _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Sorry to hear that, Kellan.
Sure enough you're no filly anymore yet it would be nice if things weren't made so painfully clear for you.
I hope this gets dealt with soon. I'm glad to say I have no personal experience with those things and the pain involved.
Hang in there, buddy. |

Well... it seems that I will be having brain surgery in the summer.
Why?
I have a pea-sized tumor on my pituitary gland.

Steven, I can't imagine why but you seem to get very bad tidings in heaps. I can only try to imagine what this must feel like...
Any particular reason this must wait until summer? |

It's been eight days, three trips to the emergency room for unmanageable pain and still no appointment to get the stone broke up.
Seriously thinking about going back to work, since I can work in pain just as well as sit around hurting.
I can't repeat in mixed company what I think of Kaiser's care methods.
Gah, I'm sick. _________________ "Старый боевой конь, Кeллан" |

I thought my little country was the only place where health care was both expensive and inadequate. I'm sorry to find you're being (not-)treated like you are. Do these doctors state any reason for not acting sooner? I mean, they know you're in a hell of pain and the Internist's training tells him/her this kind of thing is no picnic! |

Jaymee, I think that is a very warming thought.
At this point in time, with the nuclear power-plant possibly melting, I can only revert to prayer for the people. Prayer and hope.
No matter your faith of conviction, hope springs eternal. |

Man... it's been a while since I've been on... I've been through a lot lately...
First off... the reason why my surgery has to wait... is that my tumor isn't a serious one... so the surgery can wait until after I finish my spring semester at college.
And, I haven't been in good health either. I got sick in late January with a cold, and I caught another cold just before college resumed.
Earlier this month, I got sick with severe asthma and pneumonia which landed me in the hospital for a few days. And a few days after I was discharged, I was put BACK in the hospital due to a hyperglycemic reaction to the medicine they treated me with, so I spent more time in the hospital with steroid-induced diabetes than I did with asthma.
And... recently, I found out that one of my teachers from high school lost his battle with ALS.... so....... I........ ugh.... _________________ I'm called Steven, but it's not my first name!

To Kellan and Steven I wish you both my deepest hopes.
May you both fair well.
On a much lighter note, but still a horrid thing for me, my source of relaxation went kaput earlier.
I don't know if my files are ok, or my pictures of my daughter, or anything. I don't know how to find out what might be wrong, I can't boot to BIOS or anything now. But it comes on.
I cannot afford to take it and have it looked at, and I cannot afford to get a new one. I make just enough to take care of the necessities and have internet.
I'm about a breath away from ripping a hole in the world at this point. I cannot deal with everything that is happening. I simply don't have the funds. _________________ Ciara 12/26/08
