I was gradually sinking for about a year and a half, charging everything I could and making minimum payments on everything, while waiting for the house my ex-wife and I bought while we were still married to sell (and most of the debt I was servicing was also carried over from when we were married). If nothing changed the situation would have only been sustainable for 1.5 to 2 years, but I was worried about the possibility of one of the credit cards I was using lowering my credit limit, or one of the ones I was paying bumping up the percentage of the balance used to calculate the minimum payment. Fortunately that didn't happen.
At one point my ex tried to negotiate some sort of restructuring that would have allowed her to stay in the house three more years. We discussed it but I made it clear that paying off the credit cards carried over from the marriage was a deal breaker. She said it wasn't doable, so no deal.
Thankfully, that's in the past. My financial situation has been much better since then. I still use credit cards but I pay them in full every month.

On a good note. I have almost successfully trained my reason for not making it this year to not pee on my carpet. It was surprisingly easier than with our other one. I guess Frug's are a little smarter?

Still fighting but seems every two steps I get ahead, Murphy finds a way to make me fall back one and a half. 
But I am gaining. If I can hold it together something should break next year but it will be just as MFM is starting so no chance to be there in 2011.
There is a hope to make it for the 'End of the world' in 2012 though. 
2012 is supposed to be a big change and if we can make it that will be a change. With luck I will be able to get a table and have books to sell too.

uhh for some good/bad news. I had eye surgery last weekend so I'm nolonger blind in one eye and half blind in the other. 20/40 visiony goodness yay! Which also means I won't be going to MFM this year...again... But I will be going to Seattle's con in september though... mostly because I've a free room with a good friend living up there five minutes from the Con. hehehe

I'm on board for this year. Just gotta hand over the $$ for my share of a room. I'm probably going to wrangle myself into being PrincessB and Journye's pet folf for the charity auction. Shh don't tell nobody though, I don't want anyone to know just in case I find something Neato to do... Err Guess I should probably not make this post then? I'll do my best to help ya'll with the auction. And lookin forward to meeting some more PFers!
