I agree with PrincessB.

The management here seems to be very choosy with whom they decide to punish.

You treat those who try to uphold the rules like criminals, and yet you overlook other members who constantly break the rules.

You guys tend to abuse your 'power', and your priorities are mixed. Hence why I'm still considering whether or not to return.

Now Mog, while I appreciate the support you are technically pulling away from the subject. Besides if all the people who left or considered leaving because of an admin who abuses their "power" (no I'm not naming names even though certain ones have ignored the rules for their own uses so often that their name is constantly cursed by members) the thread would go on for pages and pages and pages just talking about bad admins. Certain admins chose to follow or enforce the rules only when it is convenient to them and those who can do something won't and if anyone else attempts to ask for admins to be a good example instead of a bad one they are just told "don't like it, then leave" because even the good admins don't want the members to have the ability to remove a bad admin because if we did who's to say we won't remove the good ones to.

Which leads to a stupidity that can sometimes be found online; forums or websites that have leaders that only follow or enforce the rules that are convenient and treat the regular members like lowly subjects in a kingdom. Also seen in real life with corrupt cops. If you question and ask for better examples then you are seen as a threat and the corrupt want to remove you at all cost. I once talked to an old boss of mine about supervisors and managers and I said that I thought that those in an overseeing position should know the job better then anyone and should be held at a higher standard than everyone else, follow rules more, know a little about every area they will over see, how to do everything, etc and the boss gave me a look like I was from another planet. He clearly did not think those in an authority position should be held to a higher standard. That is pretty sad and the very reason why places fail because when those who are expected to lead are worse then those they are leading then they lose all respect and no one wants to be around that.

Do we need to give basic reading lessons? No one said it would be better without admins, it has been said by many (here and no longer here) that the board would be be much nicer without admins that abuse their power. There is one certain admin that is very much disliked because of there continual using the rules when it fits them. This certain admin regularly comes into a discussion and attacks the more recent members, never reprimanding the long time members even though it was a long time member that started and continually feed the fire. They have a clear favoritism to people who have been members for many years and clearly rude to those who have not been around as long. That is an agenda and clearly one who should have never been asked to be in an authority position. You Mike are not that admin, yes it has been seen that you occasionally chew out even those that weren't involved but that could be a mistake, either on the part of others thinking you are reprimanding certain folks when you are not or on your part in that you thought they were involved when they were not, that is why your occasional misstep is livable, everyone makes mistakes. But when a certain admin is regularly attacking newer folks while coddling older members and causing many to leave well then it's time to start paying attention and looking for a replacement that doesn't have clear favoritism.
It is said that if you have a problem on the boards take it to an admin and they will address the issue, unfortunately if your issue is with an admin, no matter what admin you take it to they do a "stick together" thing and threaten your removal instead of looking into the problem.

Oh-KAY.

Time to lock 'er down. I asked nicely, I was respectful.

But instead of following the rules, and taking your beef with me (or anyone else for that matter) to the appropriate parties - instead of actually letting the moderators have a chance to actually do our jobs (thereby freeing you up to have fun and chat freely without playing cop) - and instead of actually behaving in a civilized manner - you did the following:

You repeatedly broke the rules - something you were VERY free to accuse and convict fellow forummers of doing.

You repeatedly insulted and demeaned others when they did no such thing to you - and you used rhetoric and exaggeration in the process.

You repeatedly acted as an authority when you're NOT a authority here - and continued to do so despite being reminded of this.

You repeatedly ignored moderator instructions - making it OK for you to break the rules while everyone else was subject to your whim as to if they were breaking the rules or not. Isn't that what you're accusing the moderator and administration staff of?

And apparently, you think this is OK. It's not. It never was - and it never WILL be. If you want to rant about how evil and oppressive and insensitive I or my teammates are - you're free to do so; especially if you think that you'll feel better as a result.

But keep one thing in mind - it doesn't make it true. Based on my record, I can assure you, and everyone else within the sight of these words, that it isn't. You can insist something is true without it actually being so - that's your right.

But instead of deciding that I'm the evil enemy that is being so gosh-darned oppressive and mean to you - why don't you actually open a dialog with me? You've never once tried to talk with me outside of calling me names or making me out to be this wretched person. I, like every one of the moderators here, are but mortal, with all the foibles that go along with it. I'm the first to stand up and say so. But I can't fix what you won't let me fix, and I can't fix something you won't talk with me about.

And since you've never actually talked with me one-on-one, it sounds to me like you're trying to make it out like you're oppressed when that actually isn't the case - at least with me.

To take your cop example - cops don't pull over everyone who breaks the law on the road. Just the ones that make it blatantly obvious that they attract attention. I might not catch everyone. I can actually declare outright that I haven't. But that doesn't make me selective. That makes me fallible, just like you.

I'll unlock this thread in 24 hours. Iif ANYONE has something to say about anything I've written here, I'll be happy to engage in a one-on-one dialog with you via private message at your convenience.

Best Regards,

JediFur

I want it to be known that I was wrong for the above comment I made.

I won't continue the topic any farther, but I felt I had to say that. For my conscience if anything.

Proceed-

Lol your WOW receives a wow...

I remember a while back seeing something like that on the local craigslist, don't remember exactly what they were wanting just remember they were offering sexual favors for internet game money or points. I thought it was a joke but maybe not so much.

I remember another one I saw on the local craigslist actually wanting a "sexretary" said under clothing was optional and was for light secretary work and some sex work. He reposted (or amended his post can't remember) saying he was really looking for this and would jokers quit bothering him so he could focus on the real replies. Smile
