In Dandilions roar, a self reevaluation:
In trying to keep as generic as posble both space and time, I think I may have hung mayself on this: how to preserve the characters of the story while keeping to their persona definitions as created by others.
Mistake A: Keeping the character's ages the same, while running it slightly ahead of its time.
Mistake B: From A, skewing them into pidgeon holes by keeping other outside core charcaters out, which could have helped out in the long run...
Mistake C: From B, not developing the core group's characters, relying on the former's past for their definitions. That may be fine, but when it comes to somebody NOT reading the other materials of the other characters, many will tend to think of them as "2-Dimensional".
Warning- Chapter 10 starts out gruesome and gory. Furthermore, Something will happen to the core characters. For life offers many second chances, but there is no second chance in life.
(What do I have to do to get some input from you guys??!!!) |

A) Not really a problem, as long as you keep it consistent within your story. (Sabrina the comic has quite different character ages than Sabrina the story. Most of the other stories here are based on the story and use the character ages from there, but ...)
B) Don't really know what to do about his, maybe bring some of the other characters back, they just had some reason why they were not around.
C) This is always a problem if you use characters created by someone else. There is not very much you can do, except post a list of "recommended reading" and giving the characters in question a little more screentime to develop them.
Some other stories have that problem as well. For me it is a bit of a problem with the "Gold Diggers" stories by Kinsfire, since I don't know the comic. For me Gina is just a busty blonde (or whatever her haircolor actually is) with a very active sex drive.
Well, to be honest your part of this forum is just too confusing. So many different topics for the same story (three topics for Chapter 7-b alone). I just don't know where to post a reply. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

This is my first free time to post anything, been with the flu since Sunday... Ugh! There goes my 3-posts a day average!!!
Hopefully, the organization of my forum will clear things up...
Site Updates: where all relivant information about all the stories updates will be posted (by me and Mike, since he runs the racoon library). Also Problems in accessing my various various sites should be posted by others here.
Dandilions Roar Shout Out: Input by any and all of their comments, complaints and questions. Just one comment from me- I KNOW ZZ PRODUCTIONS IS NOT IN SPRINGFEILD!!! (You dont know how much email I get on that alone!)
Vampire's Drought Shout Out: Input by any and all of their comments, complaints and questions. I know its a non-furry story, but what the hey. Those who read it, like it so far. I hope I can do justice by finishing it
The rest of the forum? Anything goes, well almost. Anyone can post anything there, as will I too be posting various questions and comments.
Simple? |
