It doesn't?
It should do so as it more than doubles the width of the unit, but if it's as shoddy plastic as it looks, then again...

Though there ARE reports that the DVD drive does burn out a great deal faster if you have it vertical rather than horizontal. |
Wouldn't surprise me...
The strain on bearings is much greater, particularly as the frame and moveable parts is made of rather flimsy plastic.
The old 4X CD-ROM drive in my 1996 vintage PC is just about bomb-proof, but the 'modern' junk...
(Reminds me to finish putting the PC back together. I recently got hold of an AT size motherboard with a PII/233MHz processor. It's a giant leap forward from the old P/133MHz, if I can only get it to work...) _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Hadn't planned to, but then again...
Except for visiting my brother and his family, I don't have any plans, so... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

I'm back home again...
No, nothing really happened this time...
Anyone enjoy soccer?
If so, did you know that the worlds largest soccer tournament starts on Sunday?
http://www.norway-cup.no/uk/t2.asp
1450 teams from 30 countries...
Well... maybe one thing happened...
I got myself a Packard Bell laptop...
(The most low-speck, entry model they had as it's to be used for working, not gaming)
This means I've begun working on my stories again, and at the moment it's a special story with the working title 'Growing up is hard to do'... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Is it done yet?
Is it done yet?

No, it's NOT finished yet...
And as I'm experimenting with yet another way to tell a story, it'll take some time...
(That's the reason I'm writing it on a PC instead of my PDA)
Anyway...
The story could probably use some illustrations...
Feeling up to it? _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Yes....
It also takes place a few years later than the current stories.
And no, you won't be able to publish it on the bookshelf because of the rather 'special' format... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

For reasons unknown(all right, I was bored), I started a blog...

At least now, when I leave a comment in someone else's blog, they'll know who I am... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

I'm working on it; should have something complete back to you by the end of the weekend, if not earlier.
EDIT: I've already sent back a few preliminary comments. _________________ "But the wildest of all the wild animals was the Cateagle. He walked by himself and all places were alike to him."

*Sigh*
During the final editing I suddenly decided that 'this story just doesn't work.'
In fact, I decided that it sucked worse than my vacuum-cleaner...
Sorry...
I have another idea for a story to replace it, but its just in the pre-simmering stages, yet... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"
