They've made speaking english in my own city more difficult than it should be, seeing as how I live in an english country.

I don't see how they can make it harder for you to speak english. They don't speak it, well, that's their problem. No one is forbidding them to learn it, and they need to do so if they are to earn some grace and get ahead in life.

Because nothing says "Land of the Free and the Home of The Brave" more than denying people the Right to Life, Freedom and the Pursuit of Happiness based on their origin, right? Either all get it, or none do.
Perhaps you mean "without being able to claim taxes back". They pay sales tax, bills, water and utilities, just like you and me. And they cannot claim back anything you and I can.
If you're referring to welfare, disability, child care, tax breaks and all that, sorry, I got news for you: That's one of the greatest lies the right-wingers have spread. No SSN or proof of citizenship=no dice. At least here in Az.

Granted. I won't dispute that. If there is something I've noticed in the eyes of such people, is a sense of disenfranchisement. Meaning, they are not from the same nation their parents were, and even though they were born here, they aren't treated as such. No love for their land equals no love for themselves or their fellow man. If it's about undocumented people, the solution is easy: Give them documents, track them through those documents and get them out once they lose the privilege. I don't justify criminal behavior, but prevention is more effective than correction.
I don't justify it. It's just that there is more than one side to the story.

Oh, don't worry. I wasn't thinking of taking it personal, Mog. I like you. It's just that I had to dispel some notions. We are capable of keeping a politics-related talk in a safe, healthy level, and I don't think it has escalated to a point it needed locking.
