I spent 8-8-08 doing things for IronTiger cuz it was his 25th birthday.
Breakfast in bed before work, gifts, while he was at work I made him cheese cake (he didn't want regular cake) and brownies to take to church today. Then got ready and took him out to eat as soon as he got home from work then because the day was so abnormally nice (we hate heat) we went to the park and sat near the lake talking and enjoying the night, including two raccoons coming very close to us cuz they badly wanted to check the pavilion trash can.

I was camping up near the Blue Ridge Parkway and didn't even have cell phone access, much less TV or laptop.

It was a GREAT trip by the way. I actually feel rested & recharged for once. Very different from the previous few "vacations".

I didn't watch the ceremonies since I'm not really interested in the summer Olympics(no hockey!). I visited Deviant Art and played Xenosaga III as well as a few other games and that's about it.

Did you hear about the stuff they faked, the fireworks and the national anthom and who knows what else. It's like the opening ceramoies were planned by Millie Vanilly.

Good for you. Sounds like you needed it.

I signed on the dotted line (for the next six years) and bought myself a new ride. A Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive. 60mpg is a lot better than 20mpg. Plus it's FUN!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Dancing Dancing Dancing

About the only thing that I've been interested in about the Olympics is the swimmer that's going for all the gold. Getting that info online. Haven't even turned the TV on in months other than to watch a DVD.
