...AND OUR WALL MOLDS! HAHAHAHA!

Seriously.

Our wall was molding. Confused

Black mold, which explains my rise in headaches and irritability.

No...

Mold on the walls also means there's mold INSIDE the walls, under the floor, maybe in the ceiling, in air ducts... EVERYWHERE.

It means tearing down, dehumidifying and disinfecting all over.

Note that some types of mold are actually poisonus, and breating in the spores or dried remains... is not good...

So depending on the type, this may be a job for specialists. And if not, it's a good reason to wear proper breathing masks. (Not just those disposable dust masks)

You make a good point, but maybe the mask would be just a little extreme. Razz

If I was that concerned about my health, I wouldn't be fat. Laughing

Glad I live here in Wyoming where it is dry, dry, dry. No such thing as mold here. Wink

You pinch out the colonies of fungi and toast the slices.

Good when you're living on a budget. >_<

I'm NOT kidding.

At least one type of mold has been linked to SEVERE lung problems, and even infant deaths.

Remember, fat you can get rid of(If I can do it, everyone can...), fixing damaged lungs is another matter entirely.

The school district I work for had a mold problem in one of its schools. The libraries in the schools are air conditioned and in one school the building supervisor kept the AC running so high that the walls were sweating. The water seeped into the carpeting and mold grew. I was one of the poor schmucks who had to pack up and cart out all of the books so they could rip out all the carpet and replace it. That was part of my summer job before college.

I have a friend who attends College of Charleston and whenever she came home, she would get bad allergy problems -- couldn't wear contacts, coughing, nasal irritation. They finally figured out that the finished basement in their house has a leak and hence BAD mold problems. My friend doesn't come back to town much. Very Happy

Seriously, get somebody to look at that mold. It could be coming from a dead body that someone stashed in your wall. Or maybe I'm just watching too much CSI.

My HS has a really bad mold problem. You can see it growing on the ceiling tiles. This problem is because the roof is so bad that we have litteral indoor waterfalls every time it rains... the janitors put out buckets in the hallways and empty them every hour or so. Occasionally ceiling tiles collapse and fall... thankfully no one's been hit by one yet.
Despite all this, ask our principal about it, and you get the reply: "Mold? There's no mold!"
Yeah, it ticks off almost everyone, but the higher-ups refuse to do anything about it.
