I was wondering is it possible to get someone's SSN# with just their first and last name? _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston

If you know the right places to look and have either money or conections (or both) I would entirely believe it possible. _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!

It would be useless without the date of birth, isn't it? _________________ Hey, Sony... IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

Too many people have the same first and last name, you'd need their middle name as well and date of birth. Even then you may need location of birth, getting a hold of someone's SSN# is almost impossible with out access to the right data base. That's why people who steal identity's usually go through your mail and use phishing techniques. _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A. Sigurd Olson |

That reminds me, Sigurd. My friend the Barrister needs your help moving 38 million dollars out of the country. He only needs your SSN, fax number, passport and Driver's License. I gave him your email, so please correspond with him.

Yup^ I've done multiple information searches where I enter a first and last name and it gives me the option of buying their information which includes date of birth, address, phone number, and social security number. Also the option of getting their family history (aka mothers maiden name which is sometimes needed for credit cards or loans) _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!

*sighs* I work tech support, some inpatiant customer who feels he doesn't need to wait his turn like everyone else called into sale and the idiot he talked to gave him my first and last name instead of jusy myu extesion so now the guy knows my name and roughly where I live. To make it worse there is no telling how many people this Doof gave the info to _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston

Oh Geez ...
I had a similar incident happen to me. I work for a school district, taking care of their communications systems, I.E. clocks, bell, PA systems, etc.
One site complained to my office that I didn't arrive ten minutes after they put in an electronic work order so the sub secretary gave them my cell phone number. Somehow that number got circulated so sites rather than put in a work order now try calling me instead ... !
I feel for ya, Styx. These morons shouldn't be allowed to work jobs that allow communication with customers!
