Just uploaded this story to the www.anthrofiction.com site.

It was first uploaded waaay back in 2003(I think), but disappeared back in 2006 when that site was reorganised and upgraded with a new frontend, and well... While I do take backups, they're not always that easy to sort through...
(I'm also a lazy bastard... )

Note that the story is military sci-fi with stuff exploding and all that. There are also implied adult themes.

Hey Anthony-

Well, since you said it's military, I'm in. Big time. Very Happy

Especially when you said things explode... Cool

I'll comment after I get a chance ot read it.

I just now read this, Anthony. What a compelling story! It begs the question "Where's the rest of it?" For it seems to be taken from the middle of a much larger story, and left me wondering just that. I was all set to curl up for a few hours with a good read and my coffee and make a day of it ...

The battle scenes were quick but vivid, and I imagine that is how they would be: very short time frame packed with way too much activity.

<smiles> It's good to see that Sheila sticks to her principles ...

The larger story?

Well...
The 'beginning' of it is in the Stranded story, which is definitely not for minors.

I really should finish 'G.R.I.T.S: The Next Rotation' soon, as I can't post 'G.R.I.T.S: Showdown in the OK Quadrant' before...
(TNR will give a bit more background, and Showdown is the possible lead-in for an alternate-dimension story I thought up one day I had a fever... )

There's a possibility for an 'aftermath' story of some sort, too.
(I'm in the process of taking notes for that. Deciding which threads to tie up, which to leave dangling, filling in holes and such )

And no, none of the G.R.I.T.S stories are long. They're not meant to be. Just the action, all the action and nothing but the action.

As should be evident by now, I like to experiment a bit...
(Fangs as main storyline, Diaries as a second viewpoint, then Everyday as the second viewpoint to the third chapter of Fang.)

And yes, I'm actively writing again. Not fast, but I sometimes get a word or two down that I don't immediately delete again.

<smiles> That's more than I seem to be able to do these days, writing-wise.

I'll drop by regularly to see what you're up to!
