Erf... what an ordeal... but I finally have regular internet access again. Joy to the world... well, at least to me. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

I've been without connection for about one and a half months.
And sorry for the late reply, there isn't much going on here that interests me anymore, so I don't check as regularly as I used to. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Finally some really good news! I'm moving back home!
The company is transferring me to the store in Hannover. I'm overjoyed.
Yes, that means I'll be moving back in with my parents. But you know what? I don't mind. It's a hole lot cheaper and that means I'll have the money to attend a friend's wedding.
I won't be staying with my parents forever, of course. I'll get my own place eventually, but not for a few months. I like being with my family and I don't plan to move far away from them. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Hey, that *is* good news! Always good to be able to save some extra money, and having those nice home-cooked meals is a nice added bonus. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

Just got home from a blood stemcell donation. Unpleasant stuff, I can tell you that.
I'm not sure what is worse though, the donation itself or the five days of headache the hormone injections gave me _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Yeah, that's pretty much what I must have looked like... still look like, in fact. It's not fully gone yet.
The injections fooled the body into thinking that there was a massive shortage of the stemcells in the blood, so they got produced a lot in the bone marrow and pushed into the bloodstream. Pushed through the bone. And in such massive quantities that it can hurt. And since the skull is a very prominent and rather sensitive bone it hurts more than the rest.
I really hope it will subside soon. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Well, I'm feeling better. The donation itself was really uncomfortable, but knowing that I'm probably saving someone's life helped.
With that behind me I can focus on moving. Will happen in the last week of May, but since I am moving back with my parents I won't really be offline much.
Not that my absence would be noted, but I thought I should let you know anyway. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Sounds like a rather unpleasant experience, yes...
I donate blood, myself, but have never really thought about donating stem-cells or bone marrow.
Mostly because the thought of the 'rather more' invasive procedures needed. (I must look away as they insert the needle to avoid fainting when they draw blood. The blood itself isn't a problem, neither is seeing the needle lodged deep into my arm, just the moment when it is inserted... ) _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

*sighs* Macs rarely have problems but if they do they are SERIOUS problems. I had to take it to the shop for repairs. I hope it's nothing bad too bad. Might be only software, might be a damaged HD _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
