Hi there. I'm using MS Outlook on one of my computers (on all others, I login to Squirrelmail), and I just discovered I can no longer SEND email from this client. Each time I try to send a message, I get the error "None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server."

Nothing has changed in my setup - it was working just fine a few days ago. I am able to login and retrieve my email - I just can't send anymore. Any help?

I'm still having this problem. Anyone from the admin staff have any idea what's going on?

Problem resolved - turned out my ISP's IP range somehow ended up in a spam blacklist and I was being blocked - combined with an Outlook 2007 behavior change.

For anyone else who ends up with a similar message, if you're using Outlook, go into your Account Settings >> More Settings >> Outgoing Mail, and set your authentication method to "Log on to incoming server before sending mail". That fixed the authentication side of the problem.

Woa, good to hear you've got that figured out, KeiferSkunk. I wouldn't have had the faintest idea of what to do there...

That's freaky that your ISP got SPAM blacklisted. Maybe that's a signal to change ISP's?

Might be. I've been thinking about it, but so far, no really good reason to do so. My ISP is a little slow, but it's otherwise all right.
