I am thinking if a crisis comes up she will have assist and make it through. I would be very surprised if he decided to kill of the three right now.

<Looks at The Silver Coyote> Great, just what we need. A coyote with a maniacal glint in his eye and a grin that says "I ate the chicken."

I like chicken!

And beef, and pork, and fish, and whiskey, and... well, I am an omnivore, after all.

No spoilers, Teric. <grins> Sometimes I think even I don't know what's going to happen next...

That's because he doesn't. He has to wait for Joe and Lola to tell him.

TM (Shush Alex, I know Joe told you, but I can't tell THEM that.)

I need to work faster.

It's been 18 months since I last posted a chapter to The B Team, but I managed to get Backcourse on line earlier this week. It should also make it's official debut at The Raccoon's Bookshelf within the next few days.

Apologies for the huge delay. Hopefully I won't wait that long before the next chapter of The B Team is finished. And I hope you'll find that the wait was worth it.

Yeah, you do...

Saves me the time I 'have to' spend rereading the entire story... Wink

Haven't gotten further than to chapter 21, yet, so... No comments about the latest update.

But on a related note, you may want to check those earlier chapters for typos.
(I'm reading on your site, not the .PDFs on the bookshelf, so can't say if the same typos exist there)

1. You always have Joe and Steve use the yolk when they pilot The Bitch... No wonder they have so much problems, as having egg yolk on their paws must make it difficult to keep a proper grip on the yoke...

2. A lot of places you use "it's" when you should have used "its".
I had the same problem(just ask James 'Redeeming factors' Lane), but solved it by always 'trying out "it is"' to see if it should be a contraction or not.

<smiles>

You are not the first to call me out on my favorite grammatical stumbling block, Anthony. The "it's versus its" syndrome has been a pox on my writing skills since grade school, and to this day I'm not sure why. For whatever reason, my digits always want to insert the apostrophe between the "t" and the "s" as I type. I guess I'm on auto-pilot a lot when I use a keyboard. I very rarely make that mistake when I write with pen and paper.

And yep, I'm sure I've made my fair share of "yoke versus yolk" errors as well. No puns about me being a yokel please ...

I keep my proof-readers very busy with every chapter. Aramis, Tigermark, and Mike always find more than a few things to poke me in the ribs over, chuckling as they do. I am very thankful for their help. The few typos that make it to print are most likely a result of my "tweaking" the content of the chapter after they see it. Maybe I should leave things well enough alone, I don't know.

Thank you for the feedback though. I've been growing up a lot writing my stories, and like to think that my skills have improved at least a little bit in the past six or seven years, in spite of my protracted, RL-induced slowdown of late. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Just read "Backcourse" and I have to say, very good!

Or as Mr. Burns would say, "Excellent!"

Thanks Kel. The opening scene in that chapter sat in my laptop for several months while I flailed about in RL. The rest of the chapter spilled out of my paws in one marathon night of writing. Kept me up late, my muse did!

*tongue in cheek-mode enabled*

I see we have our work cut out for us, Kellan? Very Happy "Defiance" is the first, now we have to figure out what the second story will be called and then we've got "Iron Skies" laid out for us, eh?

*grins* I know I ought to smack you for this, SC, but somehow I can't bring myself to do anything but hug you Very Happy
