Okay, it actually happened. Yesterday I got myself the Warhammer Starter Box. Once I'll have the troops ready (and got through that monster of a rulebook ) the first battle will be fought and when I got the hang of the game and the painting I'll start bulding my Tyranid Army :evilbat: _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Missile whoring dosen't count. Not that I can talk, I'm the one with the 385-ton 'pursuit lance'. Gotta love Lyrans. _________________ (00:40:05) nbz: you win at the motherf***ing internet O_O |

Try not to forget, the bigger the boom your army has, the more the starting point score is against you. |

Heavy ordinance solves a lot of things, like, say, that squad of Space Wolf scouts that keeps popping up behind my lines.
Bye bye, stupid Space Marines!
Just finished my new toy: A custom-converted Leman Russ Executioner Tank with Plasma Destroyer Cannon. Very effective against infantry of any sort, but not very good against vehicles so far (but then, that's what the hull-mounted Lascannon is for.)
This means that my armoed company now has eight, count them, eight tanks in it. Two Battle Tanks, one Vanquisher, one Demolisher, one Exterminator, one Executioner, one Hydra Flak Tank (another of my custom conversions), and one Hellhound Flame Tank. Add two Chimera and a squad of Storm Troopers and we're all set. |

KEEP THE HEELHOUND AWAY FROM EVERYONE!
My friend has one tactic with the HellHound and that is to drive it into the enemy _________________ Pat The Fox

Which is what long-range missile fire is for. Dual twin-link lascannons also work. So does calling a point-blank shot from the last guy in a formation with his last missile. And rolling three consecutive '6's. _________________ (00:40:05) nbz: you win at the motherf***ing internet O_O |

My favorite tactic with Cerberus (my Hellhound Tank) is to drive it as close as it will go using the smoke launcher to turn those all-penetrating hits back into glancing hits and flame as many of the enemy as I can before they blow it up.
The current record is fifteen Genestealer Cult dweebs and their truck.
Also, keeping it closer to the enemy is a good thing. Then, when it does blow up (note that I said when and not if), it has the potential to take some of them with it. |
