Spent most of the afternoon and evening (with a couple of breaks) trying to write the next chapter. Nothing worked. Characters wouldn't cooperate, couldn't get/keep 'em IN character, plot refused to go anywhere NEAR the direction I wanted and I think I started over at least a dozen times.

I'm gonna go to sleep and try this another time.

what you should do is sit down at your computer, put some music on, and just let your mind drift on the subject. It works too, I do it all the time....course im just a lazy ass but its still in the same theory. :p

P.S. works better if its like rock or anything like that in my opinion.

Yeah, like I'm gonna find one of them running around here.

NaNoWriMo is coming up. I may try to do that again.

as long as it gets the creative 'juices' flowing, then its all good

My suggestion would be stop trying to just write it as it goes along, but plot out a lot of stuff in advance... then write it.

doesn't have to be detailed, just cues or concept-suggestions...

example:

- expo on hero backgroun

- conflict initation (bad guy expo?)

- travel to far far away (random encounter)

- stuff...

that kinda thing

meh, as long as we'll eventually get IC back again. Ever considered outsourcing?

I've got some ideas, just need to bang them out.

I'm cranking along on the NaNoWriMo, so hopefully when it's over, I'll have the big "Mo" and will transfer that into IC.

Mo = Momentum. It's a football reference.

Well, there are actually some of us that try to avoid football (or most spectator sports for that matter Wink ).
