In New York, we are currently having heat. Humidity is over 80%.
Heat is in the nineties, but feels like the hundreds.
Hopefully, we won't have (another) blackout. Queens recently had a ten day blackout. Hell, according to Elfen, midtown is blacked out. Gya, I want to go swimming. I'll tell ye what kind of weather this is: this is sleep naked and wish ye could take off yer skin weather.

Trust me I feel for ya. I know what high heat and high humidity are but being southern born and raised I'm used to it. You all up north ain't all you can do is just bear with it. The only real advice I can offer is keep your selves hydrated. And if you can do all your running around during the morning and late evening hours. And stay in doors during the hours when it's the hottest. And if you do have to be out during noon remember to drink LOTS of watter. Had a few people up in Torrington, Wyoming who didn't keep themselves properly hydrated and they suffered for it. Here in the south we ain't fairing any better but most people here know how to deal with the heat. Plus we haven't suffered any of the black outs that the east coast and west coast suffer from. But that's really all I can offer try to stay cool.

D.F. covered just about everything with that. Living in southern Louisiana, I definitely agree with what was said. However, I would like to add one thing to it.

As D.F. said, keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water; and if at all possible, avoid any large amounts of caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic, which means it blocks your body from reabsorbing sodium and water. This is bad, especially in heat like this. It causes you to dehydrate very quickly; and with high enough levels of caffeine in your body, the water you drink during the day is going to pass right through you without rehydrating you much at all.
