A simple pre-production, pre- render blend targets bsed lip sync animation done in Maya, using traditional keyframing methods, done in roughly 48hrs

Awsome! 48 hours with blend shapes. Your mesh must be very efficient.
My last project was 12 blend shapes on a 20k poly model. It takes me 100 hrs per minute per finished product. Crappy product that is. Oh well.
Nice job on this, really. Smile And yes you should be thinking about that Quad
G5 Mac. You'll need it. Oh yeah. Don't forget to breathe.
