It occurred to me that some of us who write may not read the contest forum, so I'll make the announcement here.
There is a new website with an (semi) old writing contest: Anthrofiction Network's Short Story Contest, formerly known as the WatchingStone AnthroStory Contest.
The judging period for the spring 2006 season closes at midnight on the 20th of June--that's midnight GMT, which is probably about several hours earlier than you think it is. That means your chance to read and score the stories in the contest will be cut off in about a week.
So come on by, read a few stories, and score them. I thank you and the authors thank you.

There is only a bit more than 16 hours left until the close of the voting period. Authors may vote as well and some have, but not all. Have you forgotten?

The final scores are posted for the spring 2006 season and the summer 2006 season is underway. There is too much information about the future of Anthrofiction Network at this forum post.
