Which email client are you using (Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express, other)? The spam filters on the server pick up a lot, however spam can still slip through. For example, over the past week on one of my accounts, over 1800 spam emails were picked up by the server as spam, while around 120 hit the email client (Thunderbird's junk mail filter caught those, however). It's typically a good idea to have a multi-layered approach to problems like this.
As for the messages being spoofed (I'm assuming by your @planetfurry.com account), there is little that we can really do. At the moment, there is an SPF record for @planetfurry.com that restricts where legit messages can be sent from, however they are only rejected (or handled as spam) if the recipient email server checks for it.
Since your email address is already in the spammers' list of "usable" addresses, there isn't much that can be done to remove it or prevent them from using it.
May I ask if you are receiving the spoofed messages on the same account being spoofed (for example, you're getting messages from [email protected] on your [email protected] account), or is it going somewhere else? |

usually the return to addies are unexistant.
however, what i will do is delete my current PF account and create a new one with another name, that's about the only answer i can think of to my specific problem. _________________ [Citation Needed] |
