Ah, thanks. I'm not very familiar with music, but I've got my favorites.
'Apologize' by Timbaland might be good for Chris' dream sequence. _________________ Furry code, anyone?

I was seriously about to chastize this whole 7 year old thread for not even mentioning ELO, seeing as it was mentioned several times in the stories. |

Eddie Vedder - Guaranteed
Kenny Chesney - "Guitars and Tiki bars" and "There goes my life"
ELO - BLINDED BY THE LIGHT! (when Chris and Sabrina first met.)
something Sabrina may like by Miley Cyrus - Party in the USA
Molly Hatchet "Dreams I'll Never See" and "Flirtin with Disaster"
Tim McGraw - Live Like You Wer Dying
The Partridge Family - I Think I Love You
Shaggy - Mister Boombastic
Outcast - The Way You Move
Lone Star -"Baby I'm Amazed By You" and I'm Already There"
ANYTHING by 'Jive Bunny' (no pun intended)::snickers::
I got more that could fit into this this. lol I can go For HOURS and fill a thread.
I'm a lover of all music anything from the classics to death metal ... but what I've listed sounds like it would fit in nicely.

As far as I know, ELO never did Blinded by the Light. It was originally by Bruce Springsteen but the version most people are familiar with is the one by Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
Dreams I'll Never See was originally by The Allman Brothers (who had titled it simply Dreams), but I agree, Molly Hatchet's version of the song is AWESOME! _________________ mwalimu

As far as I can tell, that mislabeling came about from file-sharing on the 'net. The Manfred Mann (Quinn the Eskimo, etc.)version of "Blinded by the Light" does have a certain ELO-esque sound, but if you look up the song history, it only lists two performers. Bruce S. who wrote it, and Manfred who took it to #1 in the U.S. in 1976.
Like Wikipedia, the 'net is full of misinformation and mis-crediting. Before taking it for true, ask someone who was arpund at that time, or at least double-check sources.
Because knowing is half the battle,

I actually thought of suggesting what was played at my wedding,
Once upon a dream. from sleeping beauty.
It's kind of fitting seeing as how the story was originally supposed to end and that turned into a dream, plus both Chris and Sabrina thought the other was a dream beyond achieving until it happened.
Of course, now I have the nightmare of my wedding in my head again. (If he sees this, so will Chris as he has all of the gory details.) _________________ "Liven a dream, Oh you're on top. Thanks, Mike, for the plug.
As for wedding songs, are we talking wedding ceremony or reception? Two long-time standards for the ceremony (though they may have fallen out of favor in recent years) are Paul Stookey's The Wedding Song (There Is Love) and Sunrise, Sunset from the musical Fiddler on the Roof. For receptions, that's much more personalized to what is significant to either or both parties, and to their tastes. When my niece requested Richard Cheese at my family's Thanksgiving celebration, she mentioned a friend who played them at their wedding reception and found the reactions of some of the attendees quite amusing (Richard Cheese does lounge/modern swing covers of hard rock/heavy metal songs such as Welcome to the Jungle, Closer, and Hot for Teacher). It's also both amusing and saddening to see someone using a song they misinterpreted as romantic. Two examples of this are Every Breath You Take by The Police, which is about one person controlling or being obsessed with another, and Best of My Love by The Eagles, which is a breakup song. _________________ mwalimu
