just by that statement i can tell you've never even heard of them tommy.
to most american plaits the umeboushi is rather harsh.
the umeboushi is a Japanese sweet. that is anything but sweet. it is a pickled ume plum that (usually) is aged for up to a year to the westerner its very salty at first then incredibly sour.
