Here it is!. Wievers discretion is advised though, as it's...slightly graphic... _________________ The grass is always greener on the other side. Once you get there, you realize the grass is kind of a bitch too.

A very well written piece that I quite enjoyed.

Slightly graphic?
Did I miss a story somewhere?

Find someone to finish 'A Little Nothing' maybe?
(Good stories is a good way to distract certain lions... )

I understand that's being done as we speak ...
*goes off to check a certain fur's blog to make sure*
That 'certain fur' says he's trying to work on it so I am very optimistic. I have faith in him that he will somehow find the time to do his piece of ALN. Be patient, Anthony ... I'm sure his section of ALN will be well worth the wait.
(strange word to come from me - patient - )
*Presses F5 key a few times*

I found it ...
Oh ... No ...!
I have to bow to you, Sir, for a very interesting segment, the bad guys included.
Well done!
Anthony, you will like this segment, I'm sure.

Some people have wondered exactly what a Danish longaxe looks like, precisely HOW BIG it really is, and how it is used. I have found a fine example for those interested. Look up this link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbecyJTkqbU&feature=related
From just after 8:30 you get an explanation for the use of the longaxe and you see it being swung several times.
Furthermore, at the following episode at this url:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVTnHBVZfig&NR=1
You see a housekarl (a Danish word, incidentally, meaning 'house-man'), flinging such an axe over his shoulder at just after 1:15. When I say this is really a short polearm, I MEAN it, dammit
Go have a look and then just do me the favor of imagining how that weapon would behave if swung...full force...in a circle around the body, held at arms length and at close to maximum reach...before slamming into a soft target such as anyone armored in chainmail or less heavy armor. Just imagine the carnage. It's not pretty but it IS impressive.
Now maybe people will truly see why Aslaug is so damned dangerous. |

Um, Yeah ...
That one axe looked to be over 5' long, maybe 6'? Optical Illusion? The second one you referenced where the 'House Man' is putting it over his shoulder.
That's probably why it's another huge blond fur's favorite weapon, too.
Raw kinetic energy. E=MC2 (sorry couldn't get superscript to work)

Nope, that's not an optical illusion, that's actually why it's called a LONG axe |
