So, I'm behind a university firewall with most ports blocked which so far has disable all my multiplaying capabilities (World of Warcraft, starcraft, counter-strike etc.).

Anyone have any suggestions of games that I can play or good demos to download?

well you could play CS with bots, thats what I do most of the time, it really builds the skillz

which version you running with? 1.5, Source? With source it should be with create server, with the other one its alittle more tricky

They use the loop hole that techinically right now we're not paying for the net as part of our dorm since it wasn't set up.

tried to do that one with us to but we had every single person on the petition big schools can ill afford to do that sort of technical ineptitude... go with a big petition they cant ignore it. especially if you set up a meeting with the pres of the school and show him the problem. show him that your not dling mp3's... that indeed this is a company.

other than that can you telnet out??? you could possibly play muds.
good games, try dungeon keeper or siege, classics both.

well this might be a little late but here's how you get bots

First press this little dinky thing ~ then type in sv_cheats 1. Then the following of your choice:

add_bot
add_bot ct
add_bot t
then press enter and you should be set

The "little dinky thing" is more often known as the tildek, and is used mainly in Spanish, but can be used elsewhere too.

Oh and Pat, you might wanna check out some games like the mechwarrior series if you're into combat stuff, it's pretty good SP.

Or RPGs that are made to be played solo. (Baldur's gate series, Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic (II) )
