http://www.furrag.com/beta

For the past few months I've been quietly developing, with a good deal of help from a friend far more qualified than I, a furry fiction archive website that should provide the functionality writers and readers most need.

There are many archives out there, all with disparate user bases and content guideline. FurRag is designed to bridge the gap between all of these by allowing all furry stories of any kind to be included and to offer readers ever more advanced tools for filtering out what they want.

A ratings system and once-per-session age statement popups allow erotica to be posted freely while giving users who have no interest in it to easily breeze past erotic works and find other material that does interest.

Forum integration roughly on a par with Yiffstar causes new story discussion threads to be automatically created on FurRag's forum, with a link to that thread added in the story page.

Author's notes allow writers to describe what prompted them to write a piece or how they feel about it.

Stories are categorized by multiple genres and a rating, as well as a summary viewable in the story list overview--which is also fully searchable! Remember the names of some characters and places but not the story's title? Try searching through the summaries, and see what comes up!

Users can put together series of their own stories or create an open series to which anyone can add their stories -- allowing contests and competitions to be run on FurRag. Create an open series with a text inside it describing your competition's rules and let other authors submit their work to your series! If a story doesn't comply with the rules you can easily remove it from your series and at the end of the competition you can set the series 'closed' and re-order the entries so that the winner is at the top.

As the title states, FurRag is currently in beta--but even at less than 15% of its planned functionality scheme it's already on a par with the functionality of just about every furry fiction archive available, and has a few unique features that make life that much easier for writers and readers.

The site has been opened to the public specifically to bring together participants in the National Novel Writing Month: automatic per-chapter and full-story word count and forum integration allow the participants in this madness to band together and share the stress!

Although I'm not participating in NaNoWriMo this year, I look forward to seeing, and perhaps useing, the archival system you are setting up.

I actually was about to get in touch with you, man. I'm optimizing FurRag's functionality for competitions and such like, which you might be interested in. If you sign in and create a Series, then add s document to that with the rules (or, perhaps, the review system you want to use), then any other user can add their stories to your series. If you find they're inappropriate you can simply remove them, but this might be an easy way to group the WatchingStone contest stories together in a fashion that promotes similar presentation.
