So I was doing some server maintenance today and decided to run an analass on my story to see what kind of readership level I've got.

What it came down to is that I have less than 25 people reading the story from the web page and another 3 people are downloading the PDFs.

So I have to wonder, just how wide a fan-base do I have with only 30 people reading the story.

Of course, now that I've seen that, I can understand why I've only gotten $25 in donations over the last year. Razz

Starving artist fund is right.

Heh, I wish there was also a starving reader fund (ok, so I'm not starving, but my wallet is sparse).
Are you referring only to a count on this last chapter, or the entire IC series? Some of us are hanging on every word of your story (among others' Wink ).

Looking at a chapter by chapter count for the last couple of months.

Of course, remember that some of those hits are also search engines such as Google, Yahoo and the like.

I have no idea how many people have read any of my stories, but I've never had one get discussed anywhere as much as Identity Crisis. If one of my stories ever got that kind of discussion going, it wouldn't matter to me if it was being read by only 25 or 30 people, or even less.

Very Happy I have something cooking but nothing solid yet, but What I mean is aside from you and the editors maybe one or two other furs have even mentioned they read it let alone what they thought granted what has been said is positive but it's still disheartening especially when writing is still very new to you.

I get maybe four posts ot each of my chapters of my stories. I can relate Styx. I know I don't get that many readers so writing has more or less slipped into a minor past time for me. Unfortunatly I don't know how to find out just how many actualy visit my website. However I do enjoy IC. I just havn't had a chance yet to read the rest of part three.

Since I host the Raccoons Bookshelf and the IC-Stories site, it wasn't hard to run some web log analasys software to show me how many hits any particular page or file is getting.

I don't know where you're hosting your page, but they should have some way for you to track your page statistics too.

My Lair is hosted on Planetfurry and Mike also has them on the Bookshelf as well. My site has been up for more then a year and has just over 1000 hits so not much traffic there I have no idea how many furs have read them off of RBS

I have been reading your story for over a year now, and it is one of the longest stories that I have come across. It takes a lot to keep writing for this long. Take a break for a while, enjoy yourself and then come back with fresh thoughts. I can wait a little longer for the next chapter. Smile

Thanks.

Right now, I'm just concentrating on MFM which comes up at the end of next month. There are a few ideas running around in my head about the next chapter for IC, but nothing major. I'm letting thinks settle so I don't get totally burned out on it.

Cheers
