I'm not even too hot on what catogorys some music falls into, but if its stuff like 'Lil' John and the Eastside boys - Get Low', or 'TI - 24's' I don't mind stuff like that... |

Some of the older stuff is ok. like Run-DMC and LLCoolJ. But about the time MC Hammer and Sir Mix-A-Lot came around it seemed to go down hill. _________________ Mark Lonewolf

Maybe not RAP rap is the best int the world for a white guy like me, But More elecctronic styles like DJ Shadow or pretty nice for a dark mood. http://www.djshadow.com
Here in California there are a lot of local artists that are mexican. I can't remember [or type] many artists, but I do know what sounds good, even if I dun understand the lyrics, just don't expect to see me blasting it in my car down the streets of Vista. _________________ http://amberre.deviantart.com http://www.furaffinity.net/user.php?name=terrah |

I'm alright with the older stuff; Run DMC, Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, and so forth. As for modern rap, around the mid 90s or so it really went downhill and the songs really didn't have a point anymore. Once in a great great while however I come accross a song I enjoy (though the only example that comes to mind is Lose Yourself") _________________ Remember to believe in magic. Or I'll kill you.

Ah, haha... yes! And I also liked Gangsta rap at one time, mostly because of it's agressive beat. Now it's more metal, rock, alt, jazz and blues. _________________ =-LurcH-= |

Sorry never was a fan of the stuff. I listen to some of it though, but only on rare occassions. Im a rock, metal, techno, trance, ambient, and electronica fan myself. But theres one thing I cant stand and that's country. And for a Texan I think that's considered blasphamy. Oh well kay' sera, sera.
However if they put a techno beat to it then mabe i'd listen to it. And that's a big maby. _________________ Asalis: (uh*sah*lis)

*shudders* Cant stand rap. The definiton to rap is actually: Speaking in time to a beat.
There is no music in rap, but hey, if you like it, its your bag. _________________ THERE WILL BE BLOOD |

I have a taste for some hip-hop... I can't stand mainstream "EY YO PIMP MAD HOES !@#$ %$#@ &%&$ MAD BLING AIGHT", but I can appreciate songs that have a good beat, clever lyrics, and non-computer generated riffs. Underground hip-hop tends to hold these characteristics - I recommend artists such as Deltron 3030 and Insight. |
