Ouch, indeed!
It reads like a first-person account of actual experience. One must wonder.
Poor Rommel! Or maybe just 'stubborn Rommel'. He's pretty single-minded when he feels like it. That 'eye of the tiger' thing, I imagine.
I doubt any of the others worked as hard to get on the team.
