Chapter 5 is all redone!

http://s12.invisionfree.com/TAoTM/index.php?showtopic=79

Enjoy!

PS: Disregard all the posts after this one. I've changed the story so much that most of it no longer applies. Things like HL2world, all itterations of '1337'... thats all gone and paved over. Its like a new-ish story, almost new, but not fully. It's gotten better, as far as I heard.

Erf... sorry, but I cannot read that story. First of, too much background info is missing. For example, what is an HL2world?

And how can that guy it is about be 800 billion years old? The estimated age of the Universe is something between 10 and 20 billion years.

And more importantly, all those 133t names give he instant headaches.

That's all? Only the "I'm the author, I say so." explanation?

As for the background info on things, Il write one up sometime after Tim gets back to his home time. As for the 1337 names, HL2world uses a type of codename system that most people use there to prevent confusion after HL2World simply ran out of names, which confused the AI systems of HL2World. Dont worry, the Prologue isnt the whole story, and there will be alot less of those crappy names in later chapters after the prologue.

Sorry, I'm violently allergic to leet.

A: The humans never realy found this out because they couldnt detect anything faster then light. The humans couldnt detect anything past that far for the reson that everything from beyond about 13.7 billion lightyears got too dispersed and was too weak to be detected by human instruments. We simply lacked the technology to detect it. Humans also had a gross misunderstanding of the rate of cosmic inflation, because the CMB represents a wall that we can't see past, and the fact that we havent discovered anything faster then light. The humans did infact theorize the minimum size of the universe, but that is like saying the minumum size of the Earth is 1 cubic nanometer. The universe in my story is infact alot older then Tim, since he was created during the universe, not at the beginning. Il make a back-story on Tim later. Long story short, humans couldnt see anything farther away then 13.7 billion lightyears.

That's better.

Massive intentionally inccorect in improper use of capital letters. That's leet in my book.

Sorry but as I said, I REALLY don't like it.

I dunno, having someone called a 1337krew commander sure sounds like leet to me. That, and CounterStrike. Wink

Hmm... no offense, but I would've imagined something that was 800 billion years old would be a bit more... something. Tim is just sorta... confused... all the time. Maybe it's just me, but if I had 800 billion years of experience in my belt, I doubt I'd be so... well, Tim.

... and everytime I read HL2world, in my head I say "Half Life 2 World." I'm starting to think that that isn't an erroneous move on my part; the more I read this, the more I think I'm not supposed to take it seriously, at all. But, if it isn't serious in any way, I can't really be motivated to keep reading it... sorry.

Yeah, I get the thing with the Ents. I could imagine forgetting quite a lot after 800 billion years. Hmm, slightly insane? Yep, you've sold me on that part. Okay, justified; you get an author cookie.

*gives you an author cookie*

And maybe you should change the names... it's a bit hard to take a bad guy seriously when his name is something demi-comical... yeah.

Due to complications down at the site, I have a link to a place where chapters 15, 16, and 17 can be seen. And here it is! http://www.flamehaus.com/bbs/timothy-mankert-the-story-vt32871.html

Oh, and chapter 17 is done.

Enjoy!
