I was looking through some of my old folders & I came across these. Please be brutally honest/blunt.

Monsters
by Freya

When I was little
I was afraid of
monsters.
My parents told me
that there are no
such things as monsters.
But in a way,
there are monsters.
Monsters are all of
the bad things in us
that we can't get rid
of.
We will always be
battling them, for they are a part
of ourselves.

My First Kiss
by Freya

My first kiss.
At the fair at
the lower school.
My friend takes me
behind a booth.
Leans forward on
her tiptoes and kisses
me.
Sweet and short, she
leaves me behind
the booth, still
reeling.

Title Pending
by Freya

Lying in bed
when a piece
of the darkness
rubs against my foot.
I laugh, feeling no fear.
I sit up.
It brushes against
my hair,
putting the loose strands behind
my ear.
It darts down my
shirt
and goes into me
from every entrance
in my body.
I groan as it
tries to squeeze
out my heart and scream,
waking up, knowing the
touch of
Death.

Thank you!

Adding another. Sort of based on recent thoughts I've had.

Jerusalem
by Freya

In every prayer,
every song, it
is mentioned at
least one.
"Next year in Jerusalem!"
Practically the anthem
of my childhood.
Yet everytime I hear
of another bombing,
another fight,
another useless death
over an insignifigant piece
of land,
I can't help but wonder if
maybe enough if enough.
It has gotten to the point where
I'm not even sure if
my children will have
a Wailing Wall,
a Holy of Holies.
And how am I to
hold my head high and
yell that the nation
of Israel will always live,
when I know that our
army is killing innocent
children.
What ever happened to
my Jerusalem, the city
of age and heritage and
peace?

Please tell me what you think! Sort of spur of the moment, so it might be a bit sloppy.

Just quickly going over them, I have to say that they are great. As for mistakes, like I said, I quickly went over them...

I'll point Mike over here next time I see him Mr. Green
