Hrmm. World of Warcraft is not the greatest reference when it comes to modelling ... or texturing ... or rigging, or animating. Blizzard is a great reference for concept art, but when it comes to actually putting their stuff in 3D, they have to work to the lowest common denominator (IE - the crappiest graphics cards on Earth)

The first picture that came up when I searched for World of Warcraft wolves - was this :



I'm pretty sure that I could do a helluva lot better with 2000 polys there. :S I may try that as a next project after I've done Scifer. He's down to 5200 polys now. Very Happy

Reminds em of my Quake 3 days.. Low poly models were my forte. Most engines rely on 'triangles' and not 'square' polys used by for example: the long extinct Sega Saturn.. though square polygons were far more efficient.
