Errr... am I the only one that wishes that the industry would take a 180 degree turn back into single player games of the Fallout era (eg. classic PnP RPGs), not 2006 consolesque Oblivion or countless MMORPGs? |

They don't have to. There are just as much single player games out there as before. You're just hearing more about the MMO games because they get more advertisement. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

A majority of modern games' single player mode is crap. '97/'98 were good times, Fallout, Half-Life, GTA... now good games are few and far in between, not to mention hard to find sometimes. That's why I'm turning back to old classics.
Damn, I wish for a modern remake of Transarctica... |

Would anybody be interested in writing a shared story set in World of Warcraft? _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

If i knew more about the World of Warcraft I would. However knowing myself i'd probably not finish what I started. (bad habbit of mine when it comes to writing.) _________________ Asalis: (uh*sah*lis)

I've been playing since April.
I use Ironbadger as my main character name, on Thorium brotherhood server.
Main- Ironbadger, 60 tauren warrior.
Alts:
Redwing- Tauren shaman.
Lorainne- tauren hunter.
Quartz- Troll rogue.
Zulatana- troll mage.
Rashada- troll priest.
Loa- undead warlock.
I don't play alliance at all.
(No appeal to me- I like the horde and have more respect for them after dealing with far too many trid alli players.)

I played WoW for a time. A little over a month, that is, and didn't even hit 30th level. It just stopped being fun, but I suppose that's my opinion. Too much walking and grinding. _________________ -----BEGIN FURRY CODE BLOCK-----

Well, it's supposed to take time. I'm a casual gamer and I have played World of Warcraft for over a year and still am not at level 60. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

I have a 60, a 44 and several 20 something alts.
For me, grinding is a part of the fun- but the "treasure hunt" nature of finding resources and then crafting items are a big part of my enjoyment of the game.
Also, getting into a good guild is a massive help, both in terms of completing quests and having people to talk to.
I'm in a quite large guild on thorium brotherhood- Bad Moon Rising.
Its got something close to 200 members; though probably over half are alts.
Intersting thing is, my being a furry artist came out a while back, and no one had a problem with it..
Most of the members think its cool, and a few were surprised to discover they like my art.
heh heh heh...
I made converts to the furry cause within the game.

I am less lucky with the multiplay aspect of the game. I barely know anybody on the server my main character is on. Only two in fact.
I guess it's a combination of being in a very different timezone and incompatible with most World of Warcraft players. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Hm, finding in game friends seems to some extent to be a matter of what type of server you are on.
Thorium brotherhood is an RP server- a type dedicated to serious roleplay over grinding or PvP.
(I despise PvP personally- my responses are too slow, and playing tauren means you get to be a huge target that is easy to hit; while say, gnomes, are incredibly tough to target on the fly when they start jumping all over the place.)
But I have tried briefly playing on other server types, and found that unless you already know someone on that server, it seems really amazingly hard to make friends compared to dedicated RP servers.
(I have not gone back to duskwood for some time, despite having some friend on that server because they are never on..)
The real problem with the game, as far as furry fandom is concerned, is that there are maybe a hundred furries who play- and they are all on different servers and no one wants to leave their server to join people on another one.
Which is why I've been saying that we should wait for the next new server that comes online, and have lots of furries create characters there, or transfer existing characters to it and create our own guild..

My character (really the only one I play) is on an PvE server. A friend of mine is on it so I thought it was a good idea to go there. We never get to play though.
Anyway, I tried RP servers but I could never find any roleplaying on any of them so I gave up on them. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
