Okay dudes, listen up.

I'm doing a final film for my media project at college. It involves guns. Lots of guns. Some of them are radio controlled drone guns like the ones in Goldeneye.

I need one or some of you people to render me some drone guns on a blue/green background that I can merge into my film. Thing is, these drone guns would be dangerous, infeasable and completely illegal to make in rl, so they will have to be done using CG. If I can get this right and merge the CG with the film footage, it will look fantastic. I want to blow my media teacher's mind with this final film! Twisted Evil

The thing is, I haven't got much time. I've got until January at the latest. So whoever takes it on will really need to have nothing better to do. But if you do this for me, you be garrunteed a special place in the credits. Cool (And I'll owe you one!)

I'll be posting the storyboard ideas on my art site later. Will post a link too.

- Contact me over MSN or yahoo if you fancy some animating! Razz

Tempting, but I'd need to see your video footage in order to match camera angles and lighting, and to time the animation properly.

Do you have any visual examples of these gun drones? I haven't played Goldeneye.

And chroma key can be so messy. Could you handle video with an embedded alpha channel, instead? Poser excels at that sort of thing.

I'm sitting wondering if I should cut off and sell one of my testicles to buy
more hardware. I've got exams to write.. YES I'm writing one tomorrow.. I
just spent a massive amount of money on a huuuuge apartment in another
city, just to add another 3 yrs of study to my current 4.
And then there's that web comic that I hardly get to..

-stands up and screams out of frustration-

Not being able to work on is is sooo frustrating.. It's..
It's driving me loco.
So I'm unable to help at all.

Okay someone put me in straightjacket

Well I haven't shot the film footage yet, but I've done the storyboards.

Here's the storyboards. (Just a thumbnail though. To save space and loading times depending on the speed of your computer. Just click the picture again to make it bigger. The description of each frame is mentioned below the piccy.)

I could always edit the colour and contrast of the animation once you've done it. But I agree that chroma key (blue/green screen) would probably be the most feasable way of doing it. (See my attachment.) Cool

How does this look, so far? Not UV-mapped yet. I'll add the camera later.

Oh, I didn't build the entire thing ... I ripped the main section of the gun from a commercial mesh.

It'd be fairly simple to model from scratch, though, as it's mostly composed of primitive shapes (cylinders, boxes).

I'm going to add some cables, a muzzle-flash effect, and other detail before making it fully posable.

So, have you shot the film footage yet? If not, I'd recommend placing some sort of marker on the ceiling as a visual reference for 3D camera alignment and sentry-gun placement.

Fine. I won't need full resolution to sync the CGI ... 320x240 will probably be sufficient.
